The new trend is really hot. Actresses with girl-next-door image are turning glamorous and they are not averse to sleaze. Now, Bengali beauty Kamalini Mukherjee is also joining the trend. The actress of 'Anand' fame has a cute girl image but she is going to shed her cloths in her future films. The actress is ready to showcase her great body. She has started giving photo shots in sexy costumes. She said that she has to follow the trend that time brings about. She also added that she is not a trendsetter but an obedient follower. However, the actress seems to have a clear set of mind when it comes to marriage. She said that she would never look for her man but marry the man of her parents' choice. She however added that she would not regret even if she falls in love. Meanwhile, she is looking forward to the release of Shekar Kammula's 'Godavari'. She also has Kamal Hassan's film titled 'Vetadu Ventadu'.
Kamalini with Venkatesh
Actor Venkatesh is getting ready to take part in the shooting of the film 'Aadavari Matalaku Ardhaley Veruley', after a well-deserved break of four months. We all know that, Selva Raghavan is the director of the film, which is being produced by N.V.Prasad and Sanam Naga Ashok Kumar. Jyothika has been signed to play the female lead. There is every chance that, Kamalini will also be part of the film say the film sources. In this regard, the producers have got in touch with her. Having, earned a good name for herself in the hearts of Telugu people with just three films, offers have started pouring in from all fronts. Despite that, she is no mood to sign films left and right. She is on the lookout for roles that gives her immense satisfaction. In the intervening period, to get an opportunity to act opposite Venkatesh is a positive development. Kamalini never acted with a star hero in her short film career. This will be for the first time that she will be acting with a commercial hero; there is every possibility that Kamalini will be a force to reckon with in commercial arena as well.
'Kalidas' in songs recording
Arjun is playing the hero, while noted Bollywood artiste Nana Patekar playing a special role, 'Kalidas' being directed by Bharatiraja had completed the shooting of its talkie part simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. The Telugu version of the film is being produced by K Lakshminarayana Reddy on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Srinivasa Pictures. The film is now busy in post-production works and the recording of songs for the Telugu version is in progress in Chennai. Speaking on the occasion hero Action King Arjun says, 'I am very happy to act in a rare combination of Bhartiraja and Nana Patekar. Bollywood music direction Himesh Reshmia tuned the songs for which Bhuvanachandra, Vennelakanti and Sahiti scripted songs. Tippu, Karthik, Matangi, Anuradha Sriram, Shalini and Suchitra were rendering the songs. Baratiraja who dished out several excellent pictures moulded this film in different way that his earlier films.' Director Bharatiraja says, 'After a long time, I prepared a good film which could be a feast for the eyes of the Telugu audiences. The film would run in the backdrop of a murder mystery.'
Kamalini to do a Lara
In case you wondered why Kamalini Mukherjee was being seen in dresses with plunging necklines all over the place, then here's the inside dope on it. The film 'Brahmanandam Drama Company' as we has said before is the Telugu remake of Bhagam Bhag. Sivaji and Ravi Krishna are playing the lead roles in the film, those of Govinda's and Akshay Kumar's in the Hindi film. But where does Kamalini fit in? Well then, she gets to play the role that Lara Dutta had played in the original. Looks like Kamalini is trying her best to shrug off her Godavari image and reintroduce herself as a glamouros heroine. So, the plunging necklines and short dresses show off her curves. Will she succeed? Only time will tell!
'Kalidasu' Audio launch on 28th March
G. Ravi Charan Reddy's film 'Kalidasu's music is all set to hit the stands this March 28. The music launch fest was to be held on March 20, but due to the untimely demise of actor Shoban Babu the audio release function has been postponed to March 28. The music director of this film is Chakri and Aditya Music is releasing the audio. The film has Sushanth, the nephew of Nagarjuna and the grandson of Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, as the hero while Tamanna plays the lead lady. The film is produced by Chinthalapudi Srinivasa Rao and A. Naga Suseela. The date of the audio release function was confirmed by Mr. Srinivasa Rao. 'Kalidasu' has been filmed at Annapoorna studio under the banner of Sri Nag Corporation. Chakri has composed six songs for this film and the songs have been filmed at various scenic locales. Out of the six songs, two have been filmed from Puket in Thailand, and Koulalampur. Two more songs were shot from the sets at Annapurrna Studios, and one song is an item number involving the hero and an item girl. According to Naga Susheela, the co-producer, the 'Kalidasu' team is planning to release the film by April 11, just in time for the summer holidays. They have also planned to publicize this film in a very attractive and different manner.
'Kalidasu's Karachaalana yatra flags off tomorrow!
Directed by Ravicharan G. Reddy 'Kalidasu' has been doing good business at the theatres since its release. The entire team of 'Kalidasu' is immensely pleased with the success of the film and has made some innovative plans to express their gratitude to the public. They will begin a journey tomorrow, April 26, 2008 in theatres across AP. The journey has been aptly titled as 'Kalidasu Karachaalana yatra' where the team will meet the people and express their gratitude shaking hands with the public. This move was announced in a press meet that was organized in the city yesterday. Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao, one of the producers of this film has confirmed that the film is running successfully in Hyderabad and that was the reason why they have devised a plan to thank the audience. During the journey the unit members of 'Kalidasu' will meet the public in person at most of the theatres where the film is screened. The tour will flag off tomorrow, April 26, 2008 from the Sun temple in Arasavelli, Srikakulam District. The Route: Beginning the journey from Arasavelli, Srikakulam District, the touring team will go via VijayaNagaram, Vizag, Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Elluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Chilakaluripeta, Ongole, Nellore and end at Hyderabad. Reports also indicate that this team will tour the Rayalaseema region for three days.
