Mammootty's recently released police story Kasaba has been performing extremely well at the box office. The Nithin Renji Panicker directed movie hit the theaters for Eid, on July 7, Thursay. When it completed the first 3 days of release at the box office, Kasaba has made a whopping gross collection of 5.56 Crores from Kerala alone. It is indeed a great start for the movie. Kasaba went on to bag the highest ever initial collection, by making 2.48 Crores gross on its releasing day. The movie broke the record of Dulquer Salmaan's Kali, which had made 2.33 Crores initial collection. The collections on the second day of release was 1.49 Crores, which was very less when compared to the initial collection. Thus, the movie made a total gross collection of 3.97 Crores, with the first 2 days.
Kasaba Box Office: 30 Days Kerala Collections
Kasaba, the Mammootty starring police story which released on July 7, has already emerged as a blockbuster. When it completes the first month of release Kasaba is still going strong at the box office. From the first 30 days of its theatrical run, the Nithin Renji Panicker movie has made a total gross collection of 14.4 Crores. It is the collection solely made from the Kerala box office. The release of Rajinikanth's Kabali has badly affected the performance of Kasaba, as it was removed from several major theatres. But, the movie has been brought back to major theatres from last week. Kasaba succeeded in breaking the record of Kali, by collecting 2.48 Crores on its release day. The movie also broke the first-weekend collection record of Loham, by collecting 7.36 Crores in just 4 days. The movie entered the 10 Crore club just within the 8 days of release by making a gross collection of 10.03 Crores from the Kerala box office. On the 9th day, the collection was raised to 10.44 Crores. The outside Kerala and outside India box office collections of Kasaba are yet to calculated. The movie, which had a wide release in GCC countries last week, has succeeded in impressing the Gulf audiences.
Ravishing Varalaxmi Sarathkumar From Kasaba
It seems like the other language actresses are so eager to step into Mollywood. The latest entrant to this league is popular the Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who is all set to make a mark in Mollywood. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is playing an important role in Mammootty's upcoming film Kasaba. Take a look at some of the pictures of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Varalaxmi is the daughter of Tamil superstar Sarathkumar, who is a well known face to Malayalam cinema, as he has acted in number of Malayalam movies, especially with the likes of Mammootty and Mohanlal. Nothing much has been revealed about her role in the film Kasaba, but sources suggest that she plays a very important role in the film. The shooting of Kasaba has been completed and post-production works of the film is going in full swing. Mammootty's Kasaba: Official Trailer Leaked!
Kasaba, the Mammootty starring highly anticipated police story has landed in trouble again. Reportedly, Kasaba official trailer which was slated to be released on June 25, has leaked on social media. The trailer has been circulating on the social platforms like Whatsapp and Facebook, from June 22 evening. But, the Kasaba team immediately deleted the video with the help of YouTube authorities. If the reports are to be true, the crew is planning to postpone the official release of Kasaba trailer, to the last week of June. Mammootty and director Nithin Renji Panicker haven't commented on the issue yet. Director Nithin stated that the team is still clueless about how the trailer leaked; not even the final mixing was completed. The leaked teaser has the background score of some recently released Telugu movies. Earlier, Kasaba was heavily trolled by the social media, after the release of the first look poster. But, Mammootty handled the issue positively, by sharing the best trolls through his official Facebook page. Kasaba, which stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the female lead, will hit the theatres on July 7. The movie stars the popular actors Siddique, Jagadish, Sambath, Neha Saxena, etc. in the supporting roles.
Mammootty's Epic Response To Kasaba Trolls
Mammootty, the Big M of Mollywood, recently responded to the trolls on Kasaba first look poster, through his official Facebook page. The megastar's epic response has been going viral on social media. Interestingly, Mammootty has posted 13 best trolls, along with an appreciation note, on his Facebook page. The actor remarked that he is extremely impressed with the trolls, to the much surprise of his fans. He feels that trolls and memes are the modern faces of satire and new whips of the digital generation. Mammootty has also assured that he will find more interesting trolls and share it through his Facebook page. The social media is going gaga over Mammootty's epic response and appreciating him for taking the trolls sportively. It is commendable that the actor didn't get offended with the trolls, like most of his contemporaries. Similar social media attacks have happened in the past, especially towards the movie personalities. But, it is for the first time, an actor is coming forward with appreciations for the trolls, and sharing them through his page. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the popular Tamil actress is making her Malayalam movie debut with the upcoming Mammootty movie, Kasaba. Varalaxmi is the daughter of popular South Indian actor turned politician, Sarathkumar. The actress is playing Kamala, an important character in the movie. Some unexpected incidents create a link between Kamala and C.I. Rajan Zachariah, played by Mammootty and she brings an important turning point in his investigation. Kasaba is set in the backdrop of a village in Kerala-Karnataka border. The movie revolves around the struggles of Rajan Zachariah, who gets appointed as the Circle Inspector of the Kasaba police station situated in the town.
