RGV’s upcoming venture ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakathvam: Appal Raju’ will hit the screens on January 12th, 2011. Though the movie is still on the floors the director had already announced the release date. Sunil is playing a lead role in the movie, Swathi and Sakshi starring opposite Sunil. This film is complete comedy entertainer and almost all the comedians of Telugu Film Industry . Dr,Bramhanandam, Ali, Thanikella Bharani, Venu Madhav, Raghu Babu, Krishnudu, Jai Prakash Reddy, MS Narayana, Chalapathi Rao, Suman Shetty, Harshavardhan, Rajesh and others are part of this movie that is a satirical take on movie directors. Three Songs and talkie part were shot in the first schedule. The next and final Schedule of the movie will start on October 21st and will end with the shooting of the entire movie. The music director of the movie is Koti, who is composing 9 songs for the movie.
'Kathanayakudu' - Return of the superstar
The expectations for Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam rose like a Tsunami and with its spectacular opening, the giant wave seems to be subsiding a bit. But then there is a hurricane named 'Kathanayakudu' brewing in the horizon and is expected to cross the coast with tremendous intensity. Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kathanayakudu' is expected to have a wonderful story. Jagapathy Babu has rendered an excellent performance in the film. musicmazaa has pictures of the movie and is the first website to publish them.
'Kathanayukudu' to release on July 25
Finally the word is out. It's official and confirmed. Rajinikanth's much-awaited 'Kathanayukudu', a remake of Malayalam hit 'Katha Parayumbol', will hit the screens on 25 July. Addressing media persons in Chennai on Wednesday, director P Vasu said, 'the shooting is complete and dubbing is going on right now. Re-recording will commence from Monday'. The story is about two childhood friends who go different ways in their life as they grow up into adulthood. One ends up a poor barber struggling to make both ends meet and the other as a 'superstar' in the movies. What happens when the two meet after all those years holds the crux, he said. Jagapathy Babu plays the poor barber and needless to say Rajini plays the superstar. Prabhu, Nayantara, Meena, Sneha and Kushboo are also in the cast. Produced jointly by K Balachander's Kavithalaya Films and M P Vijayakumar's Seven Arts Films, 'Kathanayukudu' has cinematography by Aravindh Krishna and musical score by G V Prakash. According to Vasu, 'the audio rights of 'Kathanayukudu' have been lapped up by Big Music for Rs 2.25 crore, while Pyramid Saimira has acquired the movie's distribution rights for a huge sum.' Plans are on to release the audio of 'Kathanayukudu' on 30 June. A grand function will be held in Chennai in which popular South Indian directors would take part. The movie was shot in Hyderabad Ramoji Rao Film Studio, exotic locales of Pollachi, Udumalpet and interior parts of Kerala. Adds Vasu, ' Rajinikanth's contribution to the movie is immense. He was very co-operative. We managed to complete the shooting of both 'Kuselan' and 'Kathanayukudu' in Telugu in just 82 days. Pasupathi plays the character played by Jagapathy Babu in the Tamil version. Vadivelu is also in the cast in the Tamil version'. 'G V Prakash's music is a major highlight of the movie. The 22-year-old boy has come up with stunning music and Rajinikanth himself appreciated him. So is Aravindh Krishna's cinematography'. Vasu says, 'the movie has been completed so early thanks to my producers Kavithalaya and Seven Arts Vijayakumar.' Get ready to be dazzled by 'Kathanayukudu' this July, asserts a happy Vasu.
'Kathanayakudu' audio from today
The much-awaited 'Kathanayakudu' audio will be launched in Chennai on today. The Rajini-starrer directed by P Vasu, has young G V Prakash scoring the music. Produced by Aswini dutt, the movie features Rajinikanth, Jagapathi Babu, Nayantara, Meena, Prabhu among others. The audio rights of the movie has been lapped up by Big Music for a big price. The album has five numbers. Rajinikanth is especially impressed with a duet song that features himself with Nayantara. Rajinikanth admired the tuneful lyrics with matching background score by Prakash. A song also features glorifying all the great works of the South Indian film industry. P Vasu heaped laurels on Prakash for coming up with such trendy and groovy numbers while Rajinikanth appreciated the young music director for his good work and expressed hope the audio CD would top the charts.
'Kathanayakudu' - 1200 prints for July 31 release
The very thought of a Real Film Star appearing as a Reel Film Star on screen is mighty thrilling. And when it is Super Star Rajnikanth it would be just perfect in wowing audiences'! This very thought brings the word 'Awesome' doesn't it? 'Kathanayakudu' is definitely going to rock with Rajinikanth' dashing looks and style as he plays a reel-life superstar. Reportedly, Pyramid Saimira is going to release 'Kathanayakudu' with a starting 1200 prints, on 31st July. The movie is being produced in Telugu by Ashwini Dutt on Vaijayanthi Movies banner. The movie trailer will be out in a few days. P.Vasu is directing the movie. Rajnikanth paired with Nayanthara plays the star role, while Jagapathi Babu is co-starring Rajini for the first time. Meena and Mamtha Mohandas are appearing in prominent roles. G.V.Prakashkumar (nephew of A.R.Rehman) has composed the music.
'Kathanayakudu' on wheels
Promotional activities for movies are getting bigger and more creative these days. As already announced, there would be live music shows in Chennai and Hyderabad by G. V. Prakash in a bid to popularize 'Kathanayakadu' music. And now the latest buzz is that a 'Kathanayakadu' bus will travel on the roads of Chennai very soon. The bus would be painted with the movie's stills with stylish superstar Rajinikanth highlighted in a spectacular manner. Reports suggest that the bus will stop at select bus stops for Rajini fans to get a close look at the adornments. The 'Kathanayakadu' think tank is also planning on running competitions in a bid to have maximum involvement from the general public. T. Shirts, bags, caps and many more with 'Kathanayakadu' images would be given away as prizes. A similar bus was designed for the Suriya-Jyothika staring Tamil film 'Perazhagan' some years back. Rajinikanth's 'Kathanayakadu' on wheels is sure to increase the fervor Tamil audiences already have for the highly awaited film which is slated for release on the 31st of July.
