More news →Kalyan Ram’s ‘Katti’ in title trouble
Some days back it was announced that Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram who always likes to do his films without any publicity is now gearing up for a new flick that has Sana Khan pairing opposite him and who is also making her Telugu debut with this film as well. The film has been titled as ‘Katti’ before but as the producer Danayya has already registered with the same title, the NTR arts banner has decided to change the title for Kalyan Ram film and to go in Mahesh Babu’s way. The unit decided to add prefix Kalyan Ram to Katti and to rename it as ‘Kalyan Ram Katti’ just as Mahesh did it for ‘Mahesh Khaleja’. Sources said that as the film chamber has passed a new rule that if the similar title by adding such prefixes comes, first they should bring no objection certificate (NOC) from the producer who originally registers it. So finally Kalyan Ram decided to go for a new title and not Katti now. It is being directed by Malli who earlier directed Kalyan Ram’s ‘Abhimanyu’ and is being produced by NTR Arts banner. Mani Sharma is scoring the music. The upcoming actress Saranya Mohan is playing Kalyan Ram’s sister in the film.
'Dhee' (kotti choodu) to hit screen as Diwali gift
Directed by Srinu Vytla and produced by Mallidi Satyanarayana with Vishnu Vardhan, son of Mohan Babu, as hero and Genelia as heroine had completed shooting and other formalities. Chakri gave fantastic music for the film and the film is most likely to be released as Diwali gift.
Deva Katta, Rana combo?
Director Deva Katta is running high in Tollywood after his Prasthanam has got huge accolades from the industry as well as media. Prasthanam has been selected for Indian Panorama of International Film Festival. Apart from his latter film, his former directorial Vennela also bought him good honor. Deva Katta is now making plans for his next flick and as per the sources information, he is planning to rope in Daggubati Rana for the male lead. The duo was in discussion regarding this. If everything goes well, we might expect another powerful and philosophical flick from Devakatta. Rana is currently busy in shooting of the film ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ at Hyderabad in the direction of Puri Jagannath. Ileana is playing the female lead in the movie. The film unit has recently completed the abroad schedule.
Then Ram does 'pancha kattu'
This January, we saw young heroes Naga Chaitanya and Akhil opting for 'Pancha Kattu' as part of a promotional interview in the run up to the release of Soggade Chinni Nayana. The sight of Nagarjuna and his two sons in the traditional Telugu attire was great. It's now the turn of Ram to do just the same. Is he going to be seen in the look in his next movie? No. It's his dress for his best friend's wedding. "Best friend's wedding @ 4am.. #tamilstyle #sleepyface #love", Ram tweeted, posing in the dress, without wearing make up. We guess his fans will surely like this spontaneous posing without any frills.
'Katti Batti' is a romantic thriller: Kangana Ranaut
National award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut says that despite being a love story, "Katti Batti" unfolds like a thriller that would raise the curiosity of the audience. As part of the film's promotion, Kangana and actor Imran Khan visited a radio station and interacted with the media. "From the promos, what people are feeling is obviously that it is a modern love story. But it's much more than that. If you see the film, it unfolds like a thriller though it is basically a love story," Kangana said. "Girl and boy like always are meeting and falling in love, but the difference is that this girl has suddenly disappeared, the mystery about who is she and where has she disappeared unfolds during the course of the film." Response to the promos has been extremely positive. "Whoever has seen the film has loved it, Aamir Khan loved it. The aspect that people actually love about the film is the innovative manner of narrating the love story. As far as the songs are concerned, 'Sarfira' has already become popular and we have received good response for the film till now," said Kangana. The story traces the journey of Maddy and Payal spanning their love, live-in relationship and separation over a period of time. Directed by Nikhil Advani, the film is scheduled to release on September 18.
