More news →Nivin Pauly Turns Kayamkulam Kochunni
Nivin Pauly, the charming actor is all set to essay a historical character. Reportedly, Nivin Pauly is playing the famed robber who lived in Kayamkulam of Travancore state, in the 19th century. The yet to be titled movie which based on Kottarathil Shankunni's Aithihyamala, is directed by Roshan Andrews. Popular scriptwriter duo Bobby-Sanjay pens the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the movie. Reportedly, Nivin is extremely excited with the concept and immediately decided to do the project. Earlier, legendary actor Sathyan had played Kayamkulam Kochunni, in the 1966-released movie of the same name. Director Roshan Andrews, who confirmed the news recently, revealed some interesting facts about the project. Even though Aithiyamala depicts Kochunni's story, there only a very little detail about his personal life. But, the movie will concentrate more on Kayamkulam Kochunni's personal life, especially his love life. Bobby and Sanjay scripted the film with the help of a history students' group, after a 2-year-long research.
Karamchand is back
After almost a decade, 'Karamchand' that made Pankaj Kapur a household name, would be returning on the telly. The show is being revived in a more stylish and cool 'avtar' on Sony and would feature Pankaj Kapur in the central role once again. To be directed by its original creator Pankaj Parashar, 'Karamchand' is a detective serial with strong humor as a strong undercurrent force. When aired between 1985-1988, 'Karamchand' had achieved a cult status with Sushmita Mukherjee's 'Kitty' act never failing to raise a chuckle. Looking forward to yet another brilliant act by Kapur who turned up two brilliant performances in 2005 with 'Sehar' and 'Dus' but had a low 2006 with no releases. His 'Blue Umbrella' would the next film release which is expected to arrive in May.
Kalam to do the honors
Chiranjeevi recently received the Padma Bhushan from the President's hands. Now the President Abdul Kalam would do the honors in yet another function involving Chiru. Kalam will officially inaugurate the new facility of Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye bank and Jubilee Hills Checkpost on 12 June. It maybe recalled that Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust, launched in October 1998, has been doing laudable social work for several years now. The new facility at the blood and eye bank is an extension of the work done by the trust.
Kayal Anandhi Madhu Shalini Kalaiyarasan next new movie by C V Kumar
Janaki Raman an associate of Sudha Kongara during the making of ‘Irudhi Suttru’ is making his debut in an as yet untitled film produced by C.V. Kumar under the banner Thirukumaran Entertainment. The Romcom has three male leads played by Kalaiyarasan, Varma Ramaswamy and Kaali Venkat with Kayal Anandhi, Madhu Shalini and Madhumitha playing their respective pairs. Nivas Prasanna is the music director while VS Tharun Balaji is the cinematographer. The shooting has begun and is going on at a brisk pace.
Katamarayudu new schedule from 5th!
Pawan Kalyan has been a newsmaker ever since he debuted in the industry. His choice of films, his acting style, his statements to leave acting and become a farmer and now a politician. Always he had a been an interesting news item. But for his numerous fans watching him on screen is the only treat they wait for and in that matter, they have always been found wanting for more and more. Pawan Kalyan ‘s choice to make fewer films and reluctance to work on the film after film in quick succession had been a point of frustration for them. But the actor who set the screen on fire with his Sardaar Gabbar Singh earlier this year as a solo hero after three years, but fans and common audience were extremely disappointed with the film. He then said that he would only act in few films before he completely devotes to politics and his party JanaSena. He has announced movies with Dolly and Trivikram Srinivas. Dolly was supposed to direct another film with him but since SJ Surya wanted to concentrate more on his blossoming acting career the movie went to Dolly and Trivikram film was also announced recently. Katamarayudu was fixed as the title for the Dolly directorial and Kamal Kamaraju, Shiva Balaji, Ajay is acting as brothers for Pawan Kalyan. He recently joined the shoot to complete the first schedule. The next schedule is planned from October 5th. Important scenes and a song will be canned in this schedule. Northstar Entertainments Sharat Marar is producing the movie. Anup Rubens is the music director. Sruthi Haasan will romance Pawan Kalyan. The movie is loosely based on Ajith’s Veeram.
Katamarayudu Nizam rights sold for 18 crs?
Pawan Kalyan is looking to entertain his fans and common audience in a big way before he moves on serious politics with his JanaSena. How many more movies will he do? Will he stop making movies? Or will he continue like his brother who is making a comeback after 9 years? These are all questions for future but right now he is dedicated to complete all the commitments he made.He is busy shooting for Katamarayudu after a brief gap for the Diwali festival. He is trying to finish the movie with quality as soon as possible do that there won’t be any delay or criticism that his movie received. He want this official remake of Veeram, to work big time and in this week only from November 5th his movie with Trivikram is starting as well. He also held a pooja ceremony with RT Neason as director for AM Ratnam production, Vedalam Remake.These are the announced movies and the release of these movies is expected by the end of next year most probably. The release date of Katamarayudu is fixed for Ugadi festival, 29th March 2017 and RT Neason film will release after June July and Trivikram film like their previous film could be coming out for Dussehra or Diwali.The business of Katamarayudu has almost come to an end it seems. The official figures will only be announced by the producers after completing the entire shoot it seems. But from the inside sources we got to know that all important Nizam area rights were bought by Asian films distributors for 18 crores. His previous hit movies like Atharintiki Daredi have collected more than 20 crores from the region, so this looks like a huge but calculated bet on considering the Veeram movie was already a hit in Tamil. Well the real figure could be on even higher side!
