Kodi Ramakrishna is a past master in making gritty entertainers. The veteran is now getting back into the groove with a movie named Devathalu. It stars Rishi, who impressed all in A Film By Aravind fame, as the hero. Radhika is the heroine. Kodi Ramakrishna who has way with mass-based subjects is very eager to get back to the top. He agrees that some of his last few movies have not done well. But he hopes Devathalu would change that. Veteran actress Bhanupriya is cast in an important role in the movie. The film's shoot is going on at a scorching pace. G Srinivasa Reddy, under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Art Films, is making it. Satya Prakash, Annapurna, Apoorva, Nagamani, Vijayarangaraju, Prithvi Raj, Anantha are in the cast. Ghantadi Krishna has composed the music.
Kodi Ramakrishna's dream film's trailer has dream run
Director Kodi Ramakrishna's dream film 'Nagabharanam' ('Nagrahavu' in Kannada) is finally up for release. Starring actor-turned-politician Ramya in the main role, it is touted to be one of the most technically-advanced films ever made in the Kannada film industry. About 575 technicians hailing from seven different countries have worked on the Visual Effects for 730 days. For more than two years, Makuta Visual Effects (of 'Baahubali', 'Eega', and 'Magadheera' fame) worked on the graphics. The recently released trailer generated 25 lakh clicks in 48 hours, the makers inform. Malkapuram Shivakumar has shelled out a bomb to acquire the theatrical rights for all the areas across AP and Telangana. Shivakumar says, "The movie is going to create history for sure. I am proud to be releasing this. Makuta, which did Vfx for 'Baahubali' and 'Eega', has done Vfx for this movie". This fantasy-thriller tells the story of a woman (played by Ramya), who is the caretaker of a temple and who takes re-birth for a purpose. Kodi Ramakrishna says, "How a woman, who lost relationships in her previous life, regains them is the subject matter of the movie. What is her link with Nagabharanam is an exciting element. The way late Vishnuvardhan has been graphically recreated in the climax portions will wow the audience". A recently-released poster struck the right chord with the audience, as a Vfx-enabled Vishnuvardhan is resuscitated on-screen. The makers are touting the film as Vishnuvardhan's 201st movie. A film of the same name was released in 1970 and it's considered as one of Vishnuvardhan's best films ever. Diganth is playing a key role. Mukul Dev, Ravi Kale, Amith, Rajesh Vivek, Sadhu Kokila, 'Rangayana' Raghu are part of the cast. Music is by Guru Kiran. Cinematography is by Venu. It's produced by Sajid Qureshi, Dhaval Gada, and Sohail Ansari.
'Pandem Kodi' double delight for dad
They say the story of the to-be released Ashok resembles a lot of Pandem Kodi. It maybe true or not. But what is certain is the fact that Pandem Kodi, the dubbed venture from Tamil (Sanda Kozhi), has just completed 50 days and the film is now classified as a hit. G K Reddy, whose son Vishal is the film's hero, is naturally a happy man. For his other son Vikram Krishna is the producer of Pandem Kodi. 'It is a double delight,' he says. 'Two sons and the film is a hit in two languages'. Pandem Kodi, starring Vishal and Meera Jasmine, is a gritty entertainer with lots of action and emotions. Linguswamy, who is now directing Vikram for Bheema, was the director of Pandem Kodi. The dubbed version started slowly and picked up steam quickly. G K Reddy has been so overwhelmed with the response that he is adding 30 more print. G K Reddy had released the movie through his home distribution network, Mayuri Film Distribution. Yuvan Shankar's music is also a big hit. Vishal meanwhile is doing a film titled Thimuru, and this will be released in Telugu as Pogaru. Pogaru stars Reema Sen as the heroine. It looks like there is no stopping Vishal and his dad.
Rana wants to play Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu
The current trend is that the life stories of some of the legends, veterans, and experts are being made as the biopics. Some of the movies like Rustom, Sarab Jeet, Dangal etc. from Bollywood are the examples. Tollywood's Macho- Rana Daggubati who played the antagonist in the epic movie Baahubali, feels that it is the time Tollywood's makers follow this trend. Rana is a hefty man, physically strong, as he was trained in wrestling long ago. Rana has been quite interested in wrestling and boxing. Rana wants to play the iconic wrestler from Vizianagaram, Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu. Kodi Rama Murthy Naidu, the well-known wrestler is known as Indian Hercules on screen and Kaliyuga Bheema by King George V. Rana, who is all inspired by this great Indian wrestler, wants to play his role in his biopic. In a recent interview, Rana opened up about his love for wrestling. He said, " I am a huge fan of Mike Tyson. I was trained in heavyweight boxing earlier but it needed a lot of time and effort. As my body is injury-prone, I had to give it up. But, deep in my heart, I really want to start my training again". "I have been heavily inspired by Kodi Rama Murthy Naidu. I am forever ready to play his role," he confirms.
Naga Babu's film with Kodi
We had earlier reported that Naga Babu would be doing a film with Kodi Ramakrishna. Now the film has been launched and the shooting will begin after Sankranti. The film is being produced by M Jayasimha Reddy under the Jayasimha Productions' banner. Apart from Naga Babu, there will be four younger heroes who will play important roles in this yet-to-be-titled film.
Kodi is Simply Superb!
Dhanush scored his big commercial success with his 25th flick 'Raghuvaran B.Tech'. He, however, wasn't able to strengthen his position with back-to-back hits. Neither 'Nava Manmadhudu' nor 'Rail' were appreciated by the cinema lovers. All the hopes of our Skinny Hero is now on his upcoming release 'Kodi' directed by RS Durai Senthil Kumar and produced by Vetrimaaran. Trisha and Anupama Parameswaran play female leads. Although none of his recent films were successful, There are huge expectations on 'Kodi' due to the deadly combination of Dhanush & Vetrimaaran. Motion Poster of the movie only assured the fans that they could have a blast this Diwali. The dual role played by Dhanush has caught everyone's attention. While one of them is that of soft individual, The other one appears as the favorite of masses. This could be the movie Dhanush has been waiting to set the cash registers ringing. Telugu version will be released simultaneously with the original. 'Kodi' could also be seen as a comeback flick of Trisha who wasn't seen much in the past couple of years.
