'Krishnaleelai' is no 'Manmadhaleelai'

Director Selvan, who had earlier directed 'Soor'i starring Vignesh, is back after a break to do a movie for the coveted Kavithalaya banner. The movie stars Jeevan and newcomer Meghna in lead roles. Says Selvan, 'Krishnaleelai is not a Manmadhaleelai remake. It is about a youth who fights for a cause'. 'K Balachander was very impressed by the story. When I suggested Jeevan's name as the hero, K Balachander readily agreed and gave the go- ahead to start the project', says Selvan. Jeevan who has witnessed a good year with back-to-back hits in 'Naan Avan Illai' and 'Thotta' is also optimistic of Leelai's magic. "It's a dream come true experience for me to be part of a KB film so early in my career", Jeevan says.

An unfortunate incident in 'Krishnaleelai' shoot

'Krishnaleelai' directed by Selvan, stars Jeevan and Meghna in the lead roles. An unfortunate incident happened when the shooting for the film was going on in the location of Super Good White house in Saligramam, Chennai. A scene involving Karunas, Ganja Karupu, Sarath Babu, Jeevan and Meghna was being shot. As the scene next to it demanded to be shot from a crane, an operator was bringing it to the required spot on the location. Unexpectedly, as the crane fell down while was being moved on the jagged spots of the way, the operator Karunakaran got severely injured and was rushed right away to a nearby hospital in Vadapalani, by the director and other members of the crew and now he is undergoing medical treatment. Krishna and JSM - When religion is no deterrent

Bollywood is certainly one world that brings people from different casts, religions and races together. Two upcoming films are great examples of the same. 'Krishna' and 'Jai Santoshi Maa' are two films that would be releasing this festive season. What is noticeable about them is that though both the films deal with Hindu Gods and tell a mythological tale, they are directed by men belonging to Muslim religion. While 'Krishna' is directed by Aman Khan, 'Jai Santoshi Maa' has Ahmed Siddique at the helm, who has been Yash Chopra's erstwhile chief assistant director. Both the films are aiming for a September/October release.

'Krishna Vamsi' work is his celebration

Krishna Vamsi knows a thing or two about life. His life has been roller coaster ride of success and failure. He understands them to be the two faces of the same coin. This essential understanding has seen through the lows of his last few films. In the event, his birthday is a celebration of what believes in --- hard work and commitment. The savvy director, who is busy with his movie with Junior NTR, enjoyed his birthday in the only way he knows --- working. Happy birthday, Krishna Vamsi, from all of us too.

Krishna Bhagawan to play hero

Krishna Bhagawan came to the film industry some 16 years ago to become a hero. However, he could not get any kind of chances for some years. Somehow, he managed to play a negative role as 'Gopi' in 'April 1 Vidudala' under the direction of Vamsy and produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore. But he was unable to break the jinx despite making screen presence in a hit film, as luck failed to reach him. Later, Krishna Bhagawan kept the artiste in him a side and tested his hand as writer. In order to prove the maxim 'Search for the thing at the place where you lost it exactly', again Krishna Bhagawan appeared in another film by Vamsy called 'Avunu, Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru' as a comedian. From then onwards he started enthralling the audiences with his mark comedy and earned a separate identify as a fantastic comedian. After a long wait, Krishna Bhagawan had got a chance to turn hero in a film to be directed by Kuchipudi Venkat of 'Modati Cinema'-fame, in which Navadeep and Poonam Bajwa played the lead pair. The latest flick of Kuchipudi Venkat with Krishna Bhagawan as hero would go to sets very soon and it would be produced by some NRIs.
