For the first time ever in the History of Film Music in India, T-Series has achieved the feat of simultaneously releasing the music of the eagerly awaited film Krrish in not just one but as many as three different languages. T-Series, which has the largest music repertoire, has had many laurels in the past. But this one is sure to outshine the rest. The Music of Krrish has been released simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, a feat that no other music company has achieved so far. The film Produced- directed by the prolific Rakesh Roshan has music by Rajesh Roshan. The album has an ensemble of proficient singers from Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam to Kunal Ganjawala and Alka Yagnik to Shreya Ghoshal, who have also sung the Tamil and Telugu Songs. Nasir Faraaz, Ibraheem Ashik and Vijay Akela has penned the Hindi lyrics; Telugu lyrics written by Rajshree Sudhakar and the Tamil lyrics have been written by Pirai Sudan. The album is now out in stores and the film is slated for a June 2006 release.
Krrish 3' first look to be unveiled online Thursday
The first look of much-awaited movie "Krrish 3", the third instalment of Bollywood's hit superhero franchise, will be unveiled online with a motion poster. Superstar Hrithik Roshan will give fans a sneak peek into the movie through social-networking platform Facebook Thursday afternoon. As part of the digital campaign, spearheaded by Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Hrithik will have a Facebook live video chat, and he will show the global audience the motion poster of the movie. The actor is looking forward to the experience. "I am really excited and I eagerly look forward to the big unveiling of the 'Krrish 3' digital motion poster. Today’s technology is simply phenomenal... in an instant we can get immediate reactions and feedback on our films," Hrithik, who plays Krrish in the series, said in a statement. "I’m a huge believer in the power of social media as it directly involves our fans and supporters, and for a movie such as 'Krrish 3', it takes the experience to the next level," added the actor, who usually connects with his fans through Twitter. The live video chat will be activated at 3 p.m. Thursday on four Facebook pages: Hrithik Roshan's official fan page , the 'Krrish 3' movie official fan page , the BollywoodHungama.com fan platform and the official Bollywood on Facebook. This campaign is expected to reach over 50 million people just on the first day of the launch, and the film's director, Rakesh Roshan hopes "to maximise the potential of social media". "This film is a result of a lot of dedication and creative effort from the entire team. We want to reach out to millions of fans the world over and this is the first ever Bollywood film to launch its first look motion poster on Facebook. We are excited that a large number of people will see the first look simultaneously at the launch," he said. Also, listeners of Radio City 91.1 FM, will have a special opportunity to ask questions to Hrithik during the live chat, which will be moderated by the FM station's radio jockey Archana. The star cast of the movie - Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi - have shown their support and involvement by tweeting to their fans about the campaign. "Krrish 3" will take forward the story of the superhero, played by Hrithik, seen in "Koi... Mil Gaya" and "Krrish". It will release Nov 4, a day after Diwali.
'Krrish 3' challenging for everyone: Hrithik Roshan
The script of "Krrish 3" has been such that it challenged each and every character and department, says Hrithik Roshan, who plays the title role in the superhero film, and hopes it meets the audience's expectations when it comes out Nov 4. "The script has challenged each and every character and department. It took my father three years to make it. He said that the film must be able to stand by itself. It was a big challenge for all of us. Hopefully, we have met the expectations," said Hrithik sharing details about the making of the film. Mil Gaya" and "Krrish", the film's director-producer Rakesh Roshan said he wanted to create a super villian through the movie. "In 'Krrish', I had established how a superhero was formed. I had to create a super villian through this film. To think about him was tough. He needed to have powers to fight the superhero," he said. The villian has been played by Vivek Oberoi. Hrithik said: "Our list was very small as it had only one name - Vivek. I wanted to play the negative character, but I was not allowed to. I could not have done what Vivek has done. He has done an amazing job," said Hrithik. Talking about Hrithik's growth, Rakesh Roshan said he is still sincere. "He was so sincere in the first film. Now he has become a star, but his honesty, punctuality and sincerity have not changed," said the proud father.
'Krrish 3' much beyond past 'Krrish' films: Hrithik
Hrithik Roshan says the stunts in his forthcoming film "Krrish 3" go much beyond the past films of the franchise. "In terms of stunt spectacle and action, we have gone way beyond the other 'Krrish' films," Hrithik told film critic Anupama Chopra on her TV show "Star Verdict". Krrish 3 going strong, collects Rs.23 crore on second day
It's a double celebrations for Hrithik Roshan and the "Krrish 3" team as the Diwali release is going strong at the box office and has collected Rs.23 crore on the second day of its release. "'Krrish 3' is fabulous on day two, despite pre-Diwali festivities at its peak. Collects Rs.23 crore (Hindi+Tamil+Telugu) on Saturday. Outstanding," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, the superhero sci-fi drama, made on a budget of about Rs.100-Rs.150 crore, got a grand opening when it came out Friday. The film earned Rs.25 crore on the first day, informed Adarsh through his tweet. Another trade pundit Komal Nahta is confident that "Krrish 3" will move up on the success ladder. "Rock-steady! That's the only way to describe 'Krrish 3', given that Saturday was last day of dull pre-Diwali... Historic!" Nahta tweeted Sunday. Red Chillies VFX, a subdivision of Shah Rukh Khan's motion picture production banner Red Chillies Entertainment, worked on the special effects for "Krrish 3". While the movie has attracted a lot of children to the theatres, R.K. Mehrotra, general manager, Delite cinemas informed that the film is houseful till Wednesday. The film's success is a good news for rest of the cast that includes Vivek Oberoi, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra.
Krrish 3 strikes gold, earns Rs.72.7 crore in 3 days
Hrithik Roshan starrer “Krrish 3” has struck the right chord with the audience and is reaping rich dividends at the box office - it did a business of Rs.72.7 crore within the first three days of its release. The superhero sci-fi is still counting. The figure includes collections from the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions as well. "Krrish 3" is director-producer Rakesh Roshan's third instalment of the franchise that hit the road to glory in 2003 with “Koi...Mil Gaya”. “Krrish 3” came out Friday and collected Rs.25.20 crore on the first day, followed by Rs.23.20 crore on the second day with impressive Diwali day collections at Rs.24.30 crore, said a statement. If the audience lapped up Hrithik as superhero again, they have also appreciated the performances by Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut who play negative characters in the film while Priyanka Chopra is the female lead. According to the trade pundits, the film will enjoy a full house this week too.
