Film Kraft's KRRISH, written, produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, has great music by Rajesh Roshan. Admittedly, the four songs in the film have immense potential to scale the top of the charts. While the music of the film will be released by the end of April, the song promos in installments have already begun on satellite channels. The songs have been picturised on various hitherto unexploited exotic Singapore locales like the Gateway Building on Beach Road, Singapore National Library, Singapore Zoo, Kallang River, besides lush Indian sites. The background music has been scored by Salim-Suleiman. The film has Hrithik Roshan in the title role, along with Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, Hemant Pande, Manini De, Naseerudin Shah etc in the cast. Special effects are by Mark Kolbe and Craig Mumma of Hollywood, while the thrills have been co-ordinated by Tony Ching Siu of Hong Kong and Sham Kaushal.
Krrish Begins where 'KMG' ends
Rakesh Roshan's upcoming blockbuster KRRISH continues from where he left off in KOI - MIL GAYA, where the alien entity `Jadoo' passes on a supernatural power to the down-syndrome Rohit. In FilmKraft's KRRISH, Rohit's son Krishna inherits that supernatural power to rescue the world from an evil scientist, leaving a scope for further sequels. The film is written, produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, with music by Rajesh Roshan. Hrithik Roshan plays KRRISH, while Rekha plays his grand-ma, and Priyanka, his love interest. The film also has Preity Zinta in a guest appearance, and Manini Dey, Hemant Pandey, Naseerudin Shah etc.
'Krrish' music carrying good reports
Its great news for all music lovers! After 'Fanaa', its time for the music release of yet another biggie 'KRRISH'. There is good demand for the album in the stores as the music launches today. Now that should be heartening for the music company T-Series, film maker Rakesh Roshan and composer Rajesh Roshan as such a curiosity has been built up despite the fact that only one song [Pyaar Ki Kahani] is currently on air. The music is carrying good reports and it should be another melodious outing for those who have enjoyed multiple successes in the form of 'Rang De Basanti', 'Gangster', 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', 'Ankahee' and 'Fanaa' this year.
'Krrish' will usher in a new genre of cult Superhero
For the first time in the history of cinema, a cult superhero is the protagonist of a film. While Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Zorro et al, were comic super heroes, it is for the first time that a real, living character is portrayed as a superhero. Hrithik Roshan plays that cult superhero in FilmKraft's KRRISH, a concept written, produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, as a sequel to his earlier blockbuster KOI'MIL GAYA. Admittedly, Roshan was inspired to make a sequel, by LORD OF THE RINGS, in which a ring carries the film forward. However, in the case of KRRISH, it is a living character. The film has, besides Hrithik, Rekha, Priyanka Chopra and Naseerudin Shah in key roles, with music by Rajesh Roshan, special effects by Mark Kolbe and Craig Mumma of Hollywood, thrills by Tony Ching Siu of Hong Kong and Sham Kaushal, background music by Salim-Suleiman etc. It is slated for worldwide release in June.
'Krrish' merchandise debuts in the market
'Super'star Hrithik Roshan is of the opinion that his forthcoming Krrish could well be the birth of Superhero genre in the Indian Film Industry. He along with his father Rakesh Roshan was speaking at the press briefing that was organized for unveiling the 'Krrish' merchandise. This much-looked-forward-to sequel of 'Koi Mil Gaya' has tied up with Pantaloons for merchandise retailing. Through the tie up with Pantaloons, Roshans would like to create a 'demand' for their product and also instill a love that's normally associated with products like those of Superman, Batman and Spiderman. According to Roshan junior, 'Krrish' as a concept is on the lines of any other superhero story be it Spiderman or Superman. Although he claims that the father-son duo were not 'inspired' by any of those in particular but similarity will obviously exist. Hrithik Roshan hasn't had a release since 'Lakshya' one and a half years ago. The expectations are tremendous. With 750 prints, it is all set to be the biggest release in India ever. Whether the hype lives up to the expectations will be out soon. Over to the D Day: 23rd June, 2006!
Krrish is BIG News
Krrish is BIG News. The advance booking of this magnum opus from the Rakesh Roshan's exclusive Filmkraft Factory is historic. It is all set to rake in Rs 50 crore in the first three days. That means the record of Rs 32 crore set by 'Fanaa' a month ago is all set to be broken. With 870 prints pumped into the market, Krrish made at a budget of Rs 40 crore shall be making profit in the first three days itself. The trade is jubilant. Yashraj Films, the distributors for 'Krrish' are ecstatic as well. And the cine-going-public is desperately waiting for the D-Day: 23rd June, 2006, when India's answer to Superman shall fly in the air of brilliance. In a related incident, the anti-piracy cell of Music Company T-Series which is in-charge of the music and video rights of 'Krrish' received a call-of-death from Pakistan, allegedly by the makers of spurious pirates 'Sadaf Video'. The caller threatened with dire consequences if T-Series didn't stop the attempts to curb piracy. Sadaf Video is said to be owned by Underworld Don Chota Shakeel and is a menace for the Hindi Film Industry. For no sooner a film is released in India, the pirated copies of the same are instantly available in Pakistan, UAE, Gulf and other countries where Indian films are watched. According to reliable sources, the original master copy of Krrish is valued at Rs 9 Crore in the piracy market. This shows the kind of anticipation Rakesh Roshan's superhero has generated worldwide.
