Looks like there's another Kumar Sanu in the making as Star Plus show 'Rin Mera Star Superstar' gets Jaan Sanu (singer Kumar Sanu's son) entering the semi-final rounds. Sachin Pilgoankar, one of the judges on the show said, 'Jaan has definitely got 'sur' and 'taal' as a genetic gift from his father but what I admire about him is that he is using this gift to the best of his advantage and trying to get ahead in life on his own effort.' But has he reached this far on own merit or are the judges partial to him because of his father's celebrity status? Judge Sachin says, 'Both Farida Jalal and I are judges on this show and we are not here to create biases and favoritism among contestants. We have chosen those contestants who we felt have immense talent and Jaan is one amongst them. We have definitely not chosen Jaan in the semi-finals because of his father. On this show, contestants have to create and use their own identity to come ahead and not their parents.' Jaan Sanu says, ' I have worked hard to come so far in the show and I am struggling just like any other contestants to win this title. My name is attached with my father Kumar Sanu's name but I don't want to get ahead in life using his name, I am here to create an identity of my own and so no where in the show have I used my fathers name. I have given my best performance and that's why I have got selected.' Jaan, whose last performance won him accolades from celebrity guest Pooja Bhatt will now be in the semi-finals competing with contestants- Santosh Kapdi (14) and Ashwini Shukla (11) from Mumbai, and 7 other contestants from Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Jaipur.
Kumar Choudhary to introduce son with Genelia
M L Ravi Kumar Choudhary, who has produced films such as 'Don', 'Vikramarkudu', 'Andhrudu', etc, is now planning to launch his son under the direction of Paruchuri Murali. Murali had directed 'Nee Sneham', 'Pedababu' and Choudhary's 'Andhrudu'. The producer is now trying to get Genelia to play the lead opposite his son Ravi.
Kumari 21F Pair strikes a hat-trick!
These days it looks like there is a hat trick fever around in Tollywood. After scoring two success blockbuster movies, the young onscreen pair Raj Tarun and Hebah Patel is yet again signed which will create a hat-trick for the pair? The both have showed their sizzling chemistry in the movies Kumari 21F and Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam and the audience loved their performance in the movie. In order to create the same liking from the audience, the directorial writer Veligonda Srinivas is working on the new project and will be roping up Hebah and Raj are the leads of the film. Recently, there were rumors that the actor Raja nd Actress Hebah are under an ego clash with each other this rumored seemed to be true to a great extent when the pair was not seen greeting each other at the events. Well, when it comes to work and being professional, the stars very well know how to react and hide up things and they make very sure nothing affects their work. This is the true aspect and should be inculcated to avoid any herbs. Going back to the topic, Raj and Hebah ill b paired up for the third time and work under the production of Anil Sunkara. The actor will be seen quite in a challenging role and the actor is very determined to give his best for the role. Kunal Kumar has many faces
The film industry anywhere on the globe sees actors in their second innings as directors or producers who use their past experience and talent to enhance the art of film making. Kunal Kapoor is sure an exception to this fact. He is still in his youth. He is still an actor who has not completed the first innings of his career and yet has stepped into the second. When not acting, he is making short and meaningful films that earn him name and fame in international film festivals. He has made films like Smile, Water Bottle and Humanity at its Best. These films won him international accolades and awards in international film festivals. He recently got a chance to showcase his talent in India. He is thankful to director Ritesh Sinha for organizing the screening. Kunal has also made a music video- Life an Abstract on his cellphone, which was shown during the screening. He is also a prt of an upcoming Hindi Music Band Madhuram. He also directed the video and sang the vocals for the album Desh. He did this for his friend who is a vocalist- Shree Dayal.
Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu pair up again
The 'Ajnabee' pair of Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu would be seen again soon. And surprisingly the promo of the movie is on air for more than a month now but the pairing is being noticed only recently. We are talking about 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye' that is more in news due to Akshay-Katrina pairing than anything else. But not many are aware that even Bipasha Basu stars opposite Akshay Kumar and that too as his original love interest. Incidentally the two actors have never been seen together as conventional romantic leads. In 'Ajnabee' both played negative characters followed by 'Aankhen' where they were together only for a song'n'dance sequence. The closest they came to be paired as a romantic lead was in 'Barsaat' but that couldn't materialize further due to Akshay walking out of the project.
Saawan Kumar releases Music of Rehguzar - The Road to Destiny
Filmmaker Saawan Kumar was the chief guest at the music release of Producer Kesar Kothari's and Director Farukh Masudi's forthcoming film Rehguzar - The Road to Destiny in Mumbai on Wednesday. Released by Times Music, the music of the film has songs composed by Aadesh Srivastava, and sung by a veritable Who's Who of Bollywood today, which goes as follows: Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Alisha Chinoy, Shaan, Adnan Sami, Shreya Ghoshal, Aadesh Srivastava and Sukhvinder Singh.
