More news →'Krushi' slated for release on July 18
Post-production works are in brisk pace for 'Krushi' directed by Sivaji Prasad, presented by Jakkampudi Satyanarayana Murthy and sons produced by Peketi Subramalleswara Rao on the banner of SVSS Films with Yashwant and Suhani in the lead. Director says, 'The audiences could witness the beautiful locales of Konaseema captured by the camera in our film. At the same time, we gave a fantastic message through our movie.' Producer says, 'It is the story of a youth, who achieved success out of his sheer hard work and who remained a role model for the present generation. The first copy would be ready very soon and we are making efforts to release the film on July 18.' Rajkiran scored music for the flick. The audio which was released into the market is getting a positive response. Hero and heroine of the film Yashwant and Suhani expressed their hope that the film would earn them a good name as the film was a beautiful family love subject. Story and dialogues are by Mohan, music is by Rajkiran, camera is by Sivaram SV, while editing is by Nagireddy.
Kushal Tandon: Another Model on Bollywood Trail...
Model Kushal Tandon is a well known face with an assortment of big advertisements like Sony Ericsson, Skoda, Activia, Airtel, Dairy Milk, Eva Deodorant, Only Vimal Reid & Taylor (with Amitabh Bachchan), Kawasaki Bajaj etc. Tandon has also walked the ramp and appeared on fashion shows like Lakme Fashion Week, shows for Provogue, Spykar, Giodarno etc. He was the first runner up of Mr Grasim 2005. And now Kushal Tandon has entered the big world of films for film maker Raj Kanwar of Indrajeet Films has signed him for one his next films. It seems this hunky poster boy is all set to walk the hard road of Bollywood. Soon.
Kusthi in more fights
Kusthi, a movie starring Prabhu and Karthik, was lying in the cans for a longtime. Finally when efforts were taken to release the movie, a Chennai-based financier had obtained a stay from the Madras High Court from releasing the movie. The petitioner had alleged that the producers have taken dues from him to produce the movie and have not repaid it. The court granted a stay untill further hearing. Kusthi directed by Raj Kapoor has a big star cast and music is scored by D Imman.
Kushboo not in the race
An executive member of the Nadigar and a popular actress Kushboo has denied contesting in the forthcoming elections to the Nadigar Sangam. A busy actress and a producer, Kushboo is currently an executive committee member in the Nadigar Sangam. It may be recalled that last year she created a stir at Nadigar sangam by urging producer -director Thangar Bachchan to seek an apology on his comments on actresses in Kollywood. There were rumors that she would contest again for the post of executive committee member. When contacted, the actress said, 'I have no such plans. I am busy actress and a producer. Plans are on to produce a movie from my AVNI Cine Media. More over, I need time to spend with my daughters. Hence I have decided not to contest elections this time'.
Kushboo proves a point
The long list of film stars endorsing various consumer goods has one more popular addition. Kushboo has joined the bandwagon. Kushboo has been roped in as the brand ambassador for a popular consumer products company which has introduced a wide range of items in the market in the last few years. Cavin Kare has inked a pact with Kushboo for the project. The mass appeal of the actress especially among the women folk had forced us to appoint her as our brand ambassador, they said. Life has also come a circle for the actress who is back in the limelight with a hit in Telugu film (Stalin directed by Murugadoss) and an opportunity to act as rationalist thinker Periyar's wife in an epic movie on the great leader. Success has to come in a nice human being, surely.
Kushboo happy with Irandus opening
Producer Kushboo is happy at the box 'office response for her production venture Irandu. An anxious Kushboo had made calls to theatres screening Irandu to know about the response from the audience. Expressing her thanks to director Sundar C and actor Madhavan, Kushboo said, 'The movie has opened well. The audiences are appreciative of the movie. I am thrilled.' Irandu featuring Madhavan in dual roles has Reema Sen, Anushka and Vadivelu in lead roles. Music is by D Imman and direction by Sundar C. The mix of comedy, glamour and a dollop of suspense have worked well. Sundar C's ability for a gritty script that does not tax the audience seems to have worked. Irandu is now being tipped as a hit. Buzz is that Kushboo has started plans to commence her next production venture and it may star Silambarasan in the lead role.
