In normal parlance, Don and Dada are construed to be one. They are seen as synonymous. But Lawrence doesn't seem to feel so. Otherwise he wouldn't have named his next two films as Dada and Don. Lawrence, who has a preference for single word English titles (Mass, Style), seems to have made a change. He has now plumped for a non-English title. But Dada almost conveys the same feel. Dada is the name of the film that he is going to make for Anandi Arts. This is a movie that will star him another hero. This will be a bilingual. Along with or after this, Lawrence will take up the movie that he is planning with Nagarjuna. That movie has been tentatively christened Don.
Lawrence finds a new identity
When Lawrence Raghavender started out on film direction there were many skeptics. Many thought that he was doing it as because it was the fad. Though he was directing Nagarjuna in his first movie, there were very few ready to punt on his success. Mass was a mega success and now when he has managed to follow it up with another equally attractive winner through Style, Lawrence, it would seem has arrived as a director. Though his primary calling card is dance and choreography, the bouncing delight is now equally comfortable directing films. So much so he has been flooded with offers for direction. Lawrence, who is also getting his Style dubbed in Tamil, is however not in a hurry. The man, who enjoys very good equations with the likes of Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, (the surprise cameo of the two was a major highlight in Style) is however, is keeping his options open. Sources indicate that Lawrence may do a film for Anandi Arts first (starring himself) and then he may take up a movie with Nagarjuna. Lawrence seems to have found a new identity for himself.
Lawrence to direct a Tamil film
After having proved himself as a director with hits like '?ÂÂ?Mass'?ÂÂ, and '?ÂÂ?Style'?ÂÂ, Choreographer Lawrence is now getting ready to direct his third film. This time it is going to be a Tamil film. The title of the film is '?ÂÂ?Muni'?ÂÂ. Along with him, Raj kiran is also going to play a central role in the film. Producer is Saran. He had earlier directed '?ÂÂ?Gemini'?ÂÂ in Telugu. Music is by Bharadwaj. '?ÂÂ?Style'?ÂÂ directed by Lawerence will be dubbed into Tamil very soon.
Lawrence to wield baton for music
Lawrence, the choreographer-turned-director is now turning a music director for Nagarjuna's latest flick. The recording of the songs is in progress now. The shooting of the film is likely to begin in December. It may be recalled here that ML Kumar Choudary is making a film with Nagarjuna and Trisha in the lead under the banner Sri Keerthi Creations, with Lawrence as the director. 'Don' is the title which is under consideration for this film. Lawrence is taking charge of story, screenplay and direction besides music for this film. Lawrence's latest Tamil flick 'Muni' is also getting released in Telugu soon.
Lawrence speak on Muni
Lawrence Raghavender is happy that his Muni, releasing this Friday, has shaped well. Lawrence, who is proving to be a compact director, has gone on record saying that Muni maybe his best film as director. Now that may not be saying much. But Lawrence is indeed very confident that Muni will not in any let him down. This supernatural thriller deals about transmigration and also interestingly woven around some good songs. The songs will showcase the dancer in Lawrence to us. Lawrence says the stress is on humour, action and overall entertainment. The overall impact is also one of strong emotion, he adds. Lawrence, in a chat with the media, also talked about Nagarjuna's Don and the controversy surrounding him and Prabhu Deva.
Lawrence puts his best into Don
Lawrence has directed, choreographed and composed music for Nagarjuna's Don. It is now disclosed that Lawrence has even played an important role in Don and that the scene between him and Nagarjuna will be the highlight of the film. Industry insiders say that Lawrence has worked real hard on the film and tried his best to make it on a much larger scale than Mass. Lawrence feels that Don would surely do better than Mass. The film's producer M L Kumar Choudhary plans to release the audio on December 5 at Shilpa Kala Vedika.
