'Nandadeepa' ready

Well known cameraman and producer Anaji Nagaraj moves from action based films to tear jerker film 'Nandadeepa'. A film with the similar title was made in the 60's by Vadiraj for Jawahar movies in which Dr.Rajakumar, Leelavathi and Harini played lead roles that also bagged the national award Now the film 'Nandadeepa' made in 2008 is based on the popular story in the Uttar Karnataka region 'Kannirina Kathe' written by famous folk singer Gururaja Hoskote. The film shooting has been completed in Santhi and other villages in Hubli for twenty days. Dynamic hero Devaraj and tear jerker heroine Shruthi play the lead roles. Sanjana, Master Manoj, Muni, Gururaja Hoskote, Karibasavaiah, Vishaya Jevoor are in the cast. Malavalli Saikrishna and Raghu Niduvalli have penned the dialogues. M.R.Seenu is the cameraman. Shivu Hiremath who worked under Relangi Narasimha Rao, Om Prakash Rao, S.Narayan as assistant is independently directing this film. Gururaj Hoskote has provided the lyrics and scored the music. Lakshman Reddy is the editor while Tribhuvan and Nagesh are the choreographers for this off beat film.

Vinodraj vs Vinod

Vinodraj son of yesteryears top actress Leelavathi and Vinod Prabhakar son of yesteryears villain Tiger Prabhakar are contesting before the audience this week all over Karnataka. Vinodraj's 'Shukra' a quickie produced by his mother Leelavathi is a breezy cop story. After the success of last year's 'Kannadadha Kandha' (a come back film for Vinodraj after six years) Leelavathi is hoping to give a big break for her son from this film. Leelavathi has herself written the story for the film. Srinivas Kaushik has penned the dialogue and Gautham has scored the music while Mallikarjun is the cameraman. Veteran director G.K.Mudduraj has directed this film. Priya Dixith is opposite Vinodraj. Mohanraj, Ashwath Ninasam, Biradar, Rangateja, Ravi are in supporting cast. Vinod Prabhakar son of Tiger Prabhakar is also looking for a big break in his film career from 'Circle Rowdy'. This is an out and out action film produced by Dream Creations. Once again a veteran in the direction B.Ramamurthy has written the screenplay and dialogue besides directing the film. Gauri Venkatesh is the cameraman while M.N.Kripakar has scored the music. Five action directors Thriller Manju, Kaurava Venkatesh, Shivu, Madhu and Different Danny have composed the stunts. Kushi, Shobaraj, Bank Janardhan, Mico Nagaraj and Shakeela play guest role in this film.

It is quite thrilling to bag an award amidst several music geniuses.' Indrajit Lokesh, who bagged the Best Director award for Kannada says, 'As of me, it is an emotional evening. It is quite thrilling and exciting.' Vasanta Balan who bagged the Best Director award for Tamil (Veyil) says, 'It is impossible for me to do one such film even after 10 years, if I don't get a producer like Shankar. I did never see one such producer in my career. A top class director encouraged a person like me who was giving continuous flops. Though he is one of the best directors in India, he just remained a producer and did not involve in any of the departments with regard to 'Veyil'. He totally trusted me and gave me complete independence while making the movie. The credit for the success of the film and bagging this award goes to Shankar alone.' Puneet Rajkumar, who bagged the Best Actor award in Kannada says, 'I am very happy. The film had really touched my heart. Moreover, this is my last film in presence of my father. I dedicate this award to my father's memory.' Best Actress awardee Genelia says, 'This is my first-ever award in my film career. Moreover, I am receiving this award in presence of great artistes like Amitabh Bachchan. I feel proud in this regard. It was director Bhaskar who portrayed my character in a special way. I thank the entire 'Bommarillu' team in this regard.' Later, Vineet, Meenakshi, Devisri Prasad, Mamata Mohandas, Kamna, Simran, Neetu Chandra and others gave enthralling performances on the stage. Dr D Ramanaidu, KS Ramarao, Ooha, Ramana Gogula, Chandrasekhar Yeleti, MS Raju, Ali, K Viswanath, Chandra Siddhartha, RP Patnaik, Raja, Nikhita, KS Ravikumar, Tabu and others gave away the awards and congratulated the winners. Partha's penchance

The budding hero of Kannada (Sneha Parva, Preethi Amara, Muhurth 9.30 to 11.30 and Ajith) and Tamil films (Thullam Illan Ningai and Strong' in love) Parth has celebrated his birthday on December 6 th in a novel style. He honored the veteran theatre personality A.S.Murthy, renowned actress Leelavathi and Guinness record holder child prodigy Master Kishen in a touching and simple function at Green House Restaurant. A shawl, garland, fruit basket and a memento was presented to all the three. Producer of Mungaru Male E.Krishnappa, actor Vinodraj, parents of Partha and grand parents of Master Kishen were also present on this occasion. I would continue to extend this felicitation to those who have achieved on my every year birthday said Partha who won the best photogenic guy award before coming to films. A graduate in Commerce from KLE College Bangalore and LLB degree holder Partha has participated in ramp shows.
