Remix culture is ruling the roost in Kollywood. A host of yesteryear melodious songs have been remixed with western beats. Though several music-lovers have spoken against the trend, the man who sung many a yesteryear hits T M Soundararajan has finally opened his heart on the issue. Taking part in a audio launch function, T M Soundararajan, who has sung over 10000 songs in various languages, said, "Its lament as the charm of yesteryear melodies are recreated as duds in the name of remix." Soundararajan urged the modern day music directors to be more creative. He also beseeched the songsters not to taint and ruin those songs' beauty.
Legendary music composer’s bitter experience at airport
Legendary music composer ‘Maestro’ Ilayaraja had to face a bitter experience at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Sunday. According to the reports, Ilayaraja and his family, who were returning to Chennai after their trip to several temples in Manguluru, were denied entry by the CISF security officials over a ‘Prasad’. At the time of security check, the security officials spotted a few broken coconut pieces in Ilayaraja’s baggage and this led to a minor scuffle as the security personnel, who couldn’t recognize Ilayaraja, refused to let the renowned composer board the flight. Deeply upset with the unexpected experience, Ilayaraja got into an argument with them. Thankfully, a press reporter entered the scene and explained to the securitymen who Ilayaraja was and quickly realizing their mistake, the security officials allowed Ilayaraja and his family board the flight, which was already delayed by an hour.
Nayanthara bags the Legendary Actor's Landmark Films
Nayanthara is a heroine who rules the three South Indian Film industries of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. Her ladder to stardom is filled with equal number of films with youngsters, newcomers as well as senior actors. She has always accepted offers on the story and the potential of the character offered to her. Nayan has acted with almost all leading stars in Tamil and Telugu and she is the most preferred actress in both Kollywood and Tollywood especially for character oriented roles. Now the latest we learn that Nayan has reportedly bagged the lead heroine role in veteran Tollywood hero Nandamuri Balakrishna aka Balayya's landmark 100th film. The film will be directed by Krish of 'Vanam' fame and his recent film 'Kanche' has received enormous positive reviews. Balayya's 100th film will have a historical subject based on the life of Gauthamiputhra Satakarni, the greatest ruler among Satavahana Kings. This will be Nayanthara's second film with Balakrishna. The first time they teamed up was for the mythological film 'Sri Rama Rajyam' based on the great Indian epic Ramayana. In the film released in 2011, Balakrishna played the lord Sri Rama and Nayanthara played Seetha and their performances were highly acclaimed by critics and audiences.

It was a touching felicitation function and the first audio release of a film made by S.P.Balasubramaniam in Kannada. Symbolizing Ganga and Cauvery rivers a set was erected by art director Hosmane Murthy at the audio release function. Addressing on this occasion noted playback singer Dr.SPB said,' The love and affection what he got from Karnataka has not come for him from any other part of the country. Dr.PB Srinivas, S.Janaki and P.Susheela and me are all non Kannadigas yet the people of Karnataka showed immense love for the talent. They simply loved our songs. This is admirable said SP Balasubramaniam. I have learnt so many things in my profession from PBSji, Janakiamma and Susheelamma. Among them the humbleness is most important'. At this unique event he called upon the terrorists to give up pistol and hold musical instruments for serene and harmonious life.
