More news →London beckons Illayaraja
Coming Aug 24, music maestro Ilayaraja will perform live at The O2 arena in London along with a host of playback singers from southern India and 75 orchestra members. Filmmaker-actor Kamal Haasan, a die-hard fan of the composer, will grace the event too. The show, titled Raja the Raja, is being hosted by Lyca Mobile in association with Ayngaran International, a Tamil films distribution company. Playback singers such as S.P Balasubramanyam, Chinmayi, Karthik, Jayachandran, Madhu Balakrishnan and Sadhana Sargam are expected to perform at the event. Illayaraja will also be accompanied by his sons Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja and daughter Bhavatharini.
London romance for Shruti Haasan
Seductress Shruti Haasan is eagerly waiting for the release of her next commercial entertainer "Singham 3" which has Surya in the lead. Apparently this hot lady want to dazzle in some blockbuster flicks in the coming days and her first Telugu release will be Premam while Singham 3 will follow in Tamil post Diwali. Prithvirajs London romance
Young star Prithviraj seems to be a director's delight, as we are witnessing more and more directors repeating him, in their movies. Be it the case of M Padmakumar, Bibin Prabhakar or seniors like Shafi or Renjith who is again doing a film with him in 'Thirakkatha' all the directors who had been with the actor seems to have no complaints about the actor. So is the case of Prithviraj's Tamil directors too. Mirchi Movies, the producers of his latest Kollywood movie, 'Vellithirai', and director Viji are going to repeat the actor in the lead, for a yet-to-be-named film. The movie, which is a comedy romance flick, will be shot entirely in London. 'Vellithirai', which made rave reviews, was recently released in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Baroda with English subtitles. The movie was released with 24 prints in Hindi belt, where it got considerable audiences in its initial days.
Asin Elates to London Trotting
Actor Asin has become a global trotter with her career being expanded up to Hollywood. She is currently busy with Gajini Hindi version and meanwhile received several offers from Hollywood. Among the offers she found suitable with London Dreams. Now it is high time for her to fly to London and it is learned that she has committed for a 45 days schedule for the movie. Even in Tamil she has been offered one with Vijay but she deferred that till her return from London. She had already paired with Vijay once in the past in the Prabhu Deva's flick 'Pokkiri'. Asin also stands in the row of commercial Ad Stars as like Sneha, Priyamani,Sreya etc. Recently she did Ad with Jackie Chan and expressed her happiness as doing so.
Rajini flies to London with Kochadaiyaan team
Superstar Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer much awaited 3D flick is Kochadaiyaan, the unit is all set to commence the shooting in London and will fly to night. Debutant directorial of Soundarya R Ashwin will hit the floors in London and the first schedule will be canned for about 25 days of shoot there, which has music being composed by maestro AR Rahman. Superstar’s younger daughter tweeted in a microblogging site, “Off to London tonight with Appa and team for shoot. Schedule 1 :) god is great!!” Kochadaiyaan is the first Indian movie to be canned using Performance Capture Technology [PCT], it is also said that veteran actor late Nagesh will be seen in this film that will be pictured using digital effects. Veteran actress Shobana, Sarath Kumar, Nasser, Jackie Shroff, Aadhi and Rukmini are part of other pivotal cast.
London Dreams sold for a dream price
Vipul Shah would be a happy person after realizing his strength of direction skill that even fetches an ever sold price for his yet to shot film London Dreams. It is now officially confirmed that a deal for the film including Satellite, theatrical, video and music rights crossed a billion INR mark. Theme of the film is based on the contemporary Asian underground music group's rise and fall. The film starring Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan will go for shoot in September and mainly in London. Based on the track record of the Producer-Director which includes recent hit Singh is Kinng, Aankhein, Waqt'€”Race Against Time and Namaste London, The Indian Film company has bought the rights for such mammoth price. Global Indian musician A R Rahman is composing music for this Indi-Rock band based film which is an unconventional Bollywood musical genre.
