Trailer of '1982-A Love Marriage' unveiled
Prashant M Gorey, who has assisted renowned director Sudhir Mishra, launched the trailer of his directorial debut "1982 - A Love Marriage" along with the starcast here. "The entire setting of the film including the picturization and cinematography is carried out in such a manner that it creates a feel of the 1980s," he told media persons at the event. "We have targeted that audience who are confused whether love marriage is a success or arranged marriage is. We are showing a conclusion as to which of them is a success and why. I haven't married till now since I'm still confused. And it's a big challenge to make a film on something that you haven't done till now. In Indian society ,the culture is such that you see marriages of relatives is very common, the whole of India can relate to it," said Gorey. The film is a comedy set in the hinterland in the 1980s and the plot revolves around a man who is excited about the concept of love marriage. Lead actor Amitkumar Sharma said: "There are numerous divorces happening, none of the marriages are working... during the 1980s, there were only arranged marriages and they were successful. For the character, I could catch the traits from my own thoughts. I met numerous people to prepare for the character, especially the youth and I didn't have to search anywhere. "During the 1980s and 1990s, people started moving towards love marriage but according to a recent survey we did, the youth is again towards arranged marriagea." The film is produced by Shiv Kumar Sharma and 18th Media Ventures and releases on February 26.
Love Ke Chakkar Mein looks interesting
There have been instances when some small movies with relatively unknown starcast have clicked at the box office with good promotion and word of mouth. Though its quite some time that something like this happened but B.H. Tharun Kumar directed romantic comedy 'Love Ke Chakkar Mein' may just about make it happen again at the box office. Starring newcomers Aarnav Bhatia and Namita, LKCM is a story about a guy who wants to get married but there is one hitch - he is unemployed. He searches for a job but comes across a comic Casanova boss [Rishi Kapoor] who has demands of his own! How he overcomes all the 'chakkars' and gets the 'love' of his life forms the crux of the film!
"Love, sex, wedding, kids - it's fun all the way" - Meghna Gulzar
Meghna Gulzar speaks on 'Just Married': "Arranged marriage versus love at first sight. Tradition versus modernity. Respect versus romance. Marriage-before-love versus love-before-marriage. The eternal dichotomy that dogs the relationship between the two sexes. What comes first? The mandap or the bed? Men and women have debated over this for years. They have fought and argued, loved and wed in whichever order, and yet never actually succeeded in figuring out which ought to come first. Till, hopefully, the argument has been finally laid to rest'with relationships that begin where other relationships end. With children. Brangelina began with kids. Adopted kids. Then came sex, and love. And, hopefully, at the end of it all, will come the great American wedding. Ergo, does the sequence really matter? Or are we making a huge song and dance over nothing at all? Love, sex, wedding, kids-- take them in any sequence you want. It's fun all the way. Any which way."
