Raghava Lawrence questioned regarding Madhan-missing case

Actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence has been questioned by the cops regarding the missing of Vendhar Movies Madhan. The actor is currently starring in Motta Siva Ketta Siva, which is bankrolled by Vendhar Movies and he is also a close friend of Madhan. Recently, the Madras High Court has directed the Police to continue their search following allegations regarding large amounts of money collected from parents with the false promise of getting seats in leading engineering colleges. In a turn of event, Madhan’s mother has also alleged that her son was kidnapped following a business fallout with SRM Group. She has also accused the police of not taking suitable action to trace him.

Veera Michael Madhana Kamarajan producer Panchu Arunachalam passes

Panchu Arunachalam, veteran director, lyricist and film maker had breathed his last today, the 9th August. He was 75 years old. As a writer, he has worked in more than 100 films and has also written lyrics for songs in more than 200 films. He also had the unique distinction of doing 23 films with ‎Rajinikanth and 13 films with ‪‎Kamal Haasan and was the man who launched ‎Ilayaraja‬. Subbu Panchu who made people take note of him in the film Boss Engira Bhaskaran is Panchu Arunachalam’s son who is also a TV personality. It has to be noted that the veteran won the Lifetime Achievement Award at Behindwoods Gold Medal 2015. Behindwoods mourns the demise of this legend and prays to the Almighty to render strength to the family of the departed.

Madhavan in RGV productions?

The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that Madhavan has been assigned to act in a bi-lingual to be produced by Ram Gopal Verma. Maddy, who is acting in Manirathinam's Guru, has been reportedly roped in by Ram Gopal Verma to act in his next film. Already Madhavan is a happy man doing prominent roles in Guru, Balasekaran's Arya, Sundar C's Rendu and a movie to be produced by popular Bollywood director duo Abbas - Masthan. Madhavan has expressed his desire to be part of RGV's project which may kick off early next year. Also his last Hindi venture Rang De Basanti has been declared the official entry for Oscars from India. Madhavan is flying high with his career taking an upward swing.

Madhavan - Ready with releases

Madhavan is confident that his bi-lingual Aarya will be completed and would release before this year-end. Talking to MusicMazaa on the sidelines of a function organized by popular radio channel in Chennai on Thursday, Madhavan, said, 'My Rendu will be released on 17 November and soon Aarya would also be completed'. Aarya being directed by Balasekaran features Bhavana opposite Madhavan. Asked about the delay, Madhavan, said, 'I am clueless. I gave bulk dates for the movie but it could not be completed. Finally we crossed all hurdles and managed to complete the shooting. After Rendu, Aarya would be released'. Madhavan is upbeat about his role in Hindi movie Guru, directed by his mentor Manirathinam. 'I am happy to work with Mani sir. Every time, I learn new things working in Madras Talkies banner. The movie was initially planned for a worldwide release on 8 December. Now it has been postponed to 22 December'. I am finishing the year on a positive note, he adds.

Madhavan as rural hero

Madhavan's urban-centric looks has bagged him many roles. It has always complemented his performances. Now the romantic hero of Kollywood will get an opportunity to play a rustic lover boy for a movie titled Marudha Malai. The movie would be produced by Oscar Films Ravichandran. Marudha Malai is expected to hit the floors soon. Search for the rest of the cast including the heroine is on. With monsoon rains expected to continue, Oscar Ravichandran, the distributor of his film Rendu, which is produced by Kushboo Sundar, has decided to release this film next week. Rendu features Madhavan in dual roles with Reema Sen and Anushka playing heroines. Vadivelu and Prakash Raj are also in the cast.

Madhavan plays a journalist in Mani Rathnams Guru

Though essentially a Hindi movie, there is a lot of curiosity over Mani Rathnam's Guru in Tamil. Mani Rathnam is going to release the movie in Tamil after dubbing. Since Madhavan is a prominent star here, the expectations are riding high. Madhavan just had Irandu (earlier named Rendu) released. The film has opened to decent collections. In Guru, Madhavan plays a journalist. The man with a perceptive mind and a well-honed sense of humour says that acting as a scribe (in the film) has helped him know what it means to pose questions. As ever, Madhavan is full of adjectives about his mentor Mani Rathnam. 'He is full of energy. During the filming of Guru, he was all charged up,' says Madhavan. He adds that Guru would be an extraordinary film. After all, his own Guru (Mani Rathnam) is extraordinary. Madhavan says that he would do any role that Mani Rathnam asks him to do. Madhavan is very close to Abhishek and says Guru will take Junior Bachchan many steps forward.
