Actress Madhumitha was introduced by actor-director Parthiban in the Tamil film 'Kudaikul Mazhai'. Reports indicate that she has been engaged and will be entering wedlock soon. She would marry an upcoming actor and industrialist Siva Balaji. The two had acted together in 'Englishkaran', which was produced and directed by Sakthi Chidambaram. Siva Balaji, earned a good name and shot to fame with the Telugu film 'Arya'. Madhumitha too is familiar in Telugu as she played sister to Arjun in 'Puttintiki Raa Chelli'. According to sources, the two had fallen in love when the movie was being made. Coming to know of their affair, the elders of both families agreed to unite them. A grand engagement was held in Hyderabad on Thursday in which elders from both families attended. Madhumitha had acted in several films in Tamil and Telugu. With the girl next-door looks, she has been making rapid strides in the industry.' Siva Balaji said, 'Presently Madhu is busy with Tamil films. Once she completes all her projects, we will get married. Possibly the marriage would take place either in December or in January. We have not yet decided whether Madhu should continue in films or not.'
Madhumitha back in the reckoning
Madhumitha was introduced by actor-director Parthiban in Kudaikul Mazhai. The movie had a decent run. She had been part of several films since then. However the young actress is back in Tamil with renewed vigor. Her long-pending Pattasu being produced and directed by Sakthi Chidambaram is ready to see the light of the day. She has completed shooting for a movie titled Aani Ver, directed by John who wielded the megaphone for Vijay starrer Sachin. Also Madhumitha will act in a movie titled Nal Varavu in which she is cast opposite a newcomer. 'I am happy to be among the films again. Hopefully I would continue to render hit films from here on,' she says.
Madhumitha opposite Ameer
Finally the search for heroine opposite Ameer is over. Popular actress Madhumitha has been roped into play Ameer's ladylove in 'Yogi'. The movie is the debut venture as hero and is directed by Subramaniam Siva. Ameer has carved a niche for himself as a successful director with films like 'Mounam Pesiyadhae', 'Ram' and 'Paruthi Veeran'. He is now venturing to play the lead role in 'Yogi'. Search for heroine commenced a couple of months ago. Madhumitha is currently acting in films including 'Nalvaravu' and 'Arai En 305il Kadavul'.
Madhumitha directs Parthiban
Debutant director Madhumitha will commence shooting for her maiden directorial venture Vallamai Tharayo from Wednesday. Madhumitha, who had earlier worked as an associate of Goutham Menon, has cast Parthiban in the lead role. She had plans to cast Prithviraj but later, she has changed her mind and roped in the experienced Parthiban in the pace of young Prithvi. Madhumitha is planning the film to be a different fare. 'It will be different from my mentor's style. With a talented director like Parthiban playing the lead, we are confident of rendering an engrossing entertainer'. It is learnt that Chaya Singh, who created a memorable impact in the blockbuster 'Thiruda Thirudi', has been roped in as the heroine in the movie. Her role is quite different. She plays the wife of the protagonist. She seeks divorce just because her husband is too good! Nalini Sudararaman produces the movie while Bharadwaj handles the music.

Vallamai Tharayo will speak: Madhumitha
Director Madhumita is thrilled about the prospects of her maiden directorial venture 'Vallamai Tharayo'. Starring Parthiban and Chaya Singh in lead roles, the movie is gearing up for release. Madhumitha had studied in Singapore and won an award from the Infocom Development Authority of Singapore for her short film 'Abstract Identity' and another award for her short film 'Untitled Red' from the British Broadcasting Corporation. "Watching the film will be a new experience to the audience, who, I'm, sure, will be glued to their seats. I have written and directed it. A well-known actor appears and his identity will be under wraps until the release. One of the highlights of the film will be a 'Kolatta' song", said Madhumita. The film revolves around emotions and relationships, what with a wife seeking divorce on the grounds that her husband is good.
