Directed by Goutham and produced by D Rajvarma on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Enterprises, 'Magadheera' with Kamal Haasan in the lead is most likely to hit the screen in October. Producer Rajvarma says, 'The Tamil version of the film was released recently and is being screened with houseful collections. Popular music director Harris Jayaraj provided tunes to the film and is enthralling everyone. At the same time, the fights choreographed by Peter Haynes are also attracting the youth and mass well. More than half of the film was shot abroad and also in never before locations. We are planning to release the audio soon and the film in October. We are confident that the audio as well as the film would be a big hit in Telugu too.'
Magadheera to be dubbed in Tamil
Tollywood’s 2009 blockbuster film ‘Magadheera’ produced by Geetha Arts starring Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Agarwal and directed by Rajamouli is going to be dubbed in Tamil soon. There was a huge competition among the kollywood top heroes to get the remake rights of the movie in Tamil. And there was also a buzz that producer Kalaipuli S Thanu is going to acquire the remake rights of the film and will have Ajith in the lead. But now, there is an official announcement as Allu Sirish of Geetha Arts had bought the remake rights of the film. They said “We’re dubbing Magadheera into Tamil. Its release will be in the 2nd half of 2010. Want to release when no other big movies are around. We can reveal other details of the Tamil dubbed, once we close the deals. I have refurbished my old home in Chennai to stay during all this work”.
‘Magadheera’ bags 2 National awards!
The prestigious 57th National Film awards for the year 2009 were announced yesterday evening at a grand event in New Delhi. In an all over tollywood bagged two National awards. Tollywood hero Ram Charan Teja’s 2009 block buster record making and breaking film ‘Magadheera’ directed by Rajamouli has acquired two National Awards in technical category. Kamal Kaanan grabbed the award in the the Best Special Effects category while famous choreographer Shivshankar won the Best Choreographer award for the composition of super hit song ‘Dheera Dheera’..
Can Dammu Beat Magadheera Records?
Can Dammu become the biggest grosser of Tollywood by surpassing the existing records of Magadheera? This is the question that's haunting the Nandamuri fans at the moment. Will 'Yevadu' be another 'Magadheera'?
The makers of Ram Charan Teja-starrer "Yevadu" have confirmed that the film will hit the screens July 31, exactly four years after the actor's "Magadheera" was released and went on to become a blockbuster. "The film was earlier set to be released on July 25, but it has been pushed to July 31 for technical reasons. One of other reasons is that on July 31 four years back, 'Magadheera' had hit the screens and changed the fate of Ram Charan's career," a source from the film's unit, said. S.S. Rajamouli-directed "Magadheera" was one of the highly successful Telugu films of the recent past. It changed the fate of the lead actors - Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal, in the industry. "There were also talks that the makers wanted to release the film on July 27 coinciding with the birthday of the director, but the idea was later dropped," added the source. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, "Yevadu" features Amy Jackson and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.
Yevadu confirmed on Magadheera release date
Ram Charan, Shruti Haasan, Amy Jackson starrer Yevadu in the direction of Vamshi Paidipally has been confirmed for a release on July 31, which is the release date of Ram Charan’s blockbuster hit Magadheera. Producer Dil Raju who made the film on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner has announced the release date of Yevadu movie in a press meet. Yevadu has been under production for one and half year and the makers are hoping that the film will turn out to be a commercial hit. Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal had done cameo roles. Dil Raju says that Yevadu will be a trendsetter which has unique content and it takes the film to next level. Musical scores are by Devi Sri Prasad, script is by Vakkantham Vamsi and dialogues are by Abburi Ravi.
