Nominations have been announced for prestigious SIIMA awards. S.S.Rajamouli's Bahaubali have been nominated under 11 categories. The film was nominated under categories like Best Actor, Director and Film etc. Mahesh Babu and Shruti Hassan starrer Srimanthudu also nominated in maximum categories. Pavitra to release in 500 theaters in AP
Shriya Saran’s forthcoming film Pavitra is set for a release on 7th June, this Friday and the makers are planning for a grand release in 500 theaters in AP. The film has been directed by Janardhana Maharshi who informed that Pavitra will release in 30 theaters in Hyderabad while in 60 – 70 theatres in Nizam area. Shriya Saran will be essaying title role as Pavitra, a prostitute who later turns politician in the film. Sadhak Kumar and Sai Mahesh Reddy have jointly produced Pavitra movie. Suresh Kumar is the cinematographer and Sreelekha is the music composer of the film. Other supporting cast of Pavitra includes Sai Kumar, Ravi Babu, Roja, Brahmanandam, Telangana Sakunthala, Tanikella Bharani.
Aryan Rajesh ‘Buridi’ audio launched
Aryan Rajesh, Aishwarya starrer ‘Buridi’s audio was launched at NIFT in Hi-Tec City, Hyderabad. EVV Satyanarayana, Aryan Rajesh, Aishwarya, Koti, Janardhan Maharshi, Chalapathi Rao, Kondavalasa, MS Narayana, Srinivas Reddy, Raghu Babu, Krishna Baghavan, Jeeva, Prakash, Sana, Surekhavani, Siva Reddy, Daivagna Sharma, Ramajogayya Sastry, Poornachandra Rao, Ravi Kumar, Srinivas, Hema graced at the event. Yella Venkateswra Rao unveiled the first copy and offered it to Aryan Rajesh, Aishwarya. Music director Koti released the first CD and gave it to the producers Eedara Srinivas, Eedpuganti Poornachandra Rao, Eedara Ravikumar and Eedpuganti Subrahmanyeswara Rao. On the event Koti said, ““This is my 28th film with EVV garu. In one way I feel it is a record. The music in this film has different melodious tunes. I tuned a song in Kanakaanga Ragam which would be an experiment.” “This is my 20th film with EVV Satyanarayana. ‘Buridi’ will be the best film in my career and am sure that the film will also celebrate the silver jubilee function,” said Janardhan Maharshi.
'Telugu Sravanthi's 10th Anniversary on Nov 7
An association of NRI's in Dubai known as 'Telugu Sravanthi Cultural Association' has been rendering cultural services to the Telugu community in Dubai for the past 10 years. The 10th Anniversary of this association is going to be celebrated on 7th of this month. On this occasion, Tollywood artists AVS, Madhu Shalini, Geetha Singh, Jaiprakash Reddy, Harikishan, Jayalalitha, Raghubabu, Naresh and others will be present who are also a part of this show. AVS handles the organization of this show that is to be held in Sharjah. He leads the team of the people mentioned above to bring out this grand show. Hari Kishan is planned to stage a mimicry show and a team from Nizamabad is going to perform a folk dance. Apart from this, an entertaining drama 'Pellaniki Pelli' by Janardhan Maharshi is also a part of the show. Apart from the cine artists, Speaker of AP Assembly Mr. Suresh Reddy, TTD Chariman Adikeshavulu Naidu and few other prominent persons will grace the occasion as the important official guests. The organization was started in 1998 to promote unity and integrity of India and to promote a mutual symbiotic benefit among the UAE based Teluguites. It will be completing 10 years since its foundation on November 7.
Vamsi directs Venu and Kamalini
The beautiful river Godavari is the element that inspired most of Vamsi's movies and his latest is no way different from his past endeavors. This time he is about to begin his next with Venu and Kamalini Mukherjee playing the main cast in the movie titled 'Gopi Gopika Godavari'. Maharshi Cinema serves host for the production banner for this movie produced by Valluripalli Ramesh that starts on November 4th. Director Vamsi has earlier delivered the block buster 'Avunu Vallidaru Ishtapaddaru' casting Ravi Teja and Kalyani in the lead, produced by Valluripalli Ramesh on Aanandi Arts banner. It is a back to the pavilion mode for these people who are entering the field once again. The plotline of this movie is said to be a love story in the back drop of river Godavari. Venu will be playing the character Gopi, while Kamalini the Gopika. Both of them are working for the first time in the direction of Vamsi. The director who has a sweet tooth for Godavari as a backdrop in his writings and movies, is also know to portray heroines beautifully on screen. It is learnt that the unit will begin shooting on 4th November at Hyderabad, and will continue for a week. Later, the shoot will be done in the locales of Polavaram near to Godavari.
MAA's new president Murali Mohan
MAA (Movie Artists Association) conducts its elections every two years, to elect the members for their office. This year the election was conducted on 14th September, at Film Chamber Office in Hyderabad. Murali Mohan and VijayChandar competed for the post of president in this election. The results was declared and Murali Mohan is elected as the new president of MAA.
