Three producers Rockline Venkatesh, Sudeep and Gurudatta and two directors Sudeep and Gurudatta together in a comedy flick 'Kamannana Makkalu' starts shooting from 24th of this month. This is strongly inspired from 'Minchina Ota' says Sudeep but the main knot of this film is given by producer Rockline Venkatesh from his 'Majaa' film. Gurudatta the humble and unassuming director is producing the second movie from the banner of Udayaravi (banner name is a combination of his highly talented father Chi.Udayashanker and brother Ravishanker). Losing from the maiden production and direction 'Datta' starring Darshan and Ramya in the lead Gurudatta is trying luck with lot of care this time. Doddanna the much sought after supporting actor of Kannada cinema is 'Kamanna' and his two sons are Sudeep and Rockline Venkatesh. Ramya plays the female lead. Adhi Lokesh and Ramesh Bhat are also in the supporting roles. Vidyasagar scores the music while Venkat is the cameraman. The shooting will be held in 60 days in Mysore and Sakleshpur. Kamannana Makkalu Dubbed as Eela in Telugu
Sudeep's 2008 Kannada film Kamannana Makkalu is being released in Telugu as Eela in Telugu. The dubbed version will be released across Andhra Pradesh this Friday. Producer Jakkula Nageshwar Rao who is releasing the dubbed film said that after Eega's success Sudeep is popular with the Telugu audience and there is demand for his films. However, the producers have to be careful while selecting the films and not pick up films that have been remade from Telugu or Tamil. Kamannana Makkalu fit the bill and it was also aided by the fact that Pooja Gandhi appears in an item song in the film. Pooja is also popular in Telugu after the success of Dandupalya's dubbed version which ran for 50 days in Andhra Pradesh.
Brisk shoot for 'Kamannana Makkalu'
The stylish hero of Kannada cinema Sudeep, noted producer Rockline Venkatesh and popular comedian and supporting actor Doddanna starring 'Kamannana Makkalu' that has the strong shades of Tamil film 'Mazaa' (starring Vikram directed by Shafi and produced by Rockline Venkatesh) has completed 12 days schedule at Mysore. Actress Ramya aka Divya is out of this team even before attending the shooting. Deepu of Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films replaces Ramya in this film that also star Vaibhavi, Sadhu Kokila, Ramesh Bhat, Sunder are in the important supporting roles. Pooja Gandhi of 'Mungaru Male' fame appears in a song number of this film directed by Gurudutt who directed 'Datta' last year. A wholesome entertainer 'Kamannana Makalu' has Venkat's cinematography and Vidyasagar's music direction. Ranganath has penned the dialogues.
