Reema Sen vanished in thin air after her films Hum Ho Gaye Aapke and Wah Wah Ramji flopped tremendously on the box office. She feels that she only did films that were flops and she chose not to do sex oriented films that were recently in the trend. She is now back with Malaamal Weekly that releases this week. She plays a village belle. She took some time to get in to the skin of the character. But she is happy with the end product. She found Priyadarshan very strict as a filmmaker. He is very particular about what he wants in a scene and what he doesn't. She hopes that the film takes her career to a high and her career benefits from it. She is not back with any strategies but to gamble and stay on the circuit for a while. Malamaal is a downright village set comedy that will sure leave the audience in laugh riots. She hopes that her film will be a big commercial success.
Altaf Raja to turn 'malamaal' soon
As his latest qawalli/pop album 'Harjaaii' continues to do well in the interiors, Altaf Raja is all set to be 'malamaal' this coming weekend! No, it's not from the royalty that he could get from the success of the album but the title of the song that promise the riches coming his way. After the decent response to the music video of 'Sharaabi' that featured Preeti Jhangiani in a naughty avtar, 'Harjaaii' would see the release of second music video from the album in the shape of 'Tere Ishq Ne Malamaal Kiya'. A rhythmic qawalli about a guy who feels that he now has all the riches in the world after having fallen in love with the girl, it is a well rendered simple number that is enjoyable from beginning to the end. Watch out for the song to premier this weekend!
Altaf Raja and Kainaaz back with 'Malaamal'
A few months back, Altaf Raja delivered a hit with 'Sharaabi' from his album 'Harjaai'. With Preeti Jhangiani sizzling to the beats, the song was an instant hit and turned on the heat in its target market - the interiors! Now Altaf is back with another number titled 'Tere Ishq Ne Maalamaal Kiya' in the namesake album that has been released by Venus What is special about the album is that the title song comes straight from 'Harjaai' and is being presented in a new packaging while the remainder of the album comprises of remixes of various hit Bollywood numbers in recent months that were released on Venus. While it was Preeti Jhangiani who was roped in for 'Sharaabi', in case of 'Tere Ishq Ne Malaamaal' it is the turn of Kainaaz. For those unfamiliar with the name, Kainaaz is the same stunner who was recently seen in the hot remix video of 'Ye Din To Aata Hai Ik Din Jawaani Mein'. She earlier made her film debut with Deepak Tijori's 'Khamosh - Khauff Ki Raat' and rose to limelight with her off screen lip lock with Rakhi Sawant. Later she was seen in Aryan Vaid starrer 'Sauda - The Deal' followed by a miniscule role in Antara Maili directed 'Mr. Ya Miss'. Her 'Ghutan' featuring her in a lead role is soon to be released too. 'Malaamal' is a special music video for both Kainaaz and Altaf since it features them in as many as 4 different getups in different situations. Ranging from Oriental to European with sets also complimenting the situation, the getups have succeeded in bringing the video into limelight. With a foot tapping tune to boast and all the factors combining together, 'Tere Ishq Ne Malaamal Kiya' should be yet another winner for the team.
