More news →First copy of 'Ramudu Manchi Baludu' is ready
The first copy of 'Ramudu Manchi Baludu' directed by Praneeth and produced by Bandaru Subbalakshmi on the banner of Upendra Movies with Rangababu and Preeti Varma in the lead was ready. Director says, 'We chose a point in a story that dates back to some 1400 years ago and remoulded it to suit the present generation.' Producer says, 'We choreographed two songs on Indo-China border, which were so far not touched by any Telugu film. Suman is playing the role of a zamindar, while Abhinayasri's item song would be a highlight.' Brahmanandam, Chalapati Rao, Surya, Madhumati, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Chatla Sriramulu, Pilla Prasad, Rajesh, Visweswara Rao, Potti Rambabu, Duvvsi Mohan, Sameer and others are in the cast. Camer is by SD John, editing is by Nandamuri Hari, choreography is by Venu-Pal, action is by Ganesh, music is by Ranjith Ren, story, dialogues, screenplay and direction are by Praneeth.
'Manchu' family enjoys success
Padma Shri, Dr Manchu Mohanbabu played different characters as hero, villain, comedy villain, character artiste and others, and enthralled the audiences with his impeccable performance and dialogue delivery. His film 'Pedarayudu' was a blockbuster and earned heavy collections. After that blockbuster, there is no notable hit for the past 13 years in his film career. The entire 'Manchu' family is now enjoying the success of 'Dhee'. Mohanbabu expressed his confidence that the next film from the family, 'Raju Bhai', with his younger son Manoj in the lead would also be a success. Moreover, Mohanbabu is playing the role of Yamadharma Raju in 'Yamadonga' directed and produced by SS Rajamouli on the banner of Viswamitra Creations. That character would also earn him laurels and the film becomes a big hit.
Manchu Vishnu in ‘Pedarayudu’ sequel!
Manchu Vishnu is desperately waiting for a hit after his ‘saleem’ resulted as a disaster. Vishnu has now eyed on a sequel now to change his fortune. He is likely to act in a sequel to his dad, Mohan Babu’s block-buster hit ‘Pedarayudu’. The original version of the film is directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and he is likely to direct the sequel to this. If reports are to be believed Mohan Babu may rope in Rajini Kanth for the film, while Mohan Babu’s role will be played by Vishnu. Meanwhile, Vishnu is busy with another film under the direction of bollywood director, Hemanth Madhukar. Other details of the project are awaited.
Manchu Manoj threatens legal action over trailer leak
Manchu Manoj is upset over the illegal release of the trailer of his upcoming Telugu action-comedy "Potugadu". He says he wants to press charges against the audio label for being careless. "I'm beyond hurt. Few shameless people released a pirated version of my theatrical trailer even before it got ready. Now, I want go to court. My producer gave (the trailer) to Aditya audio company to see and they released it. (I) won't leave anyone," posted Manoj on his Twitter page. Manoj feels such actions cast a shadow over their hard work. "Just know (that) hundreds of families depend on one film. We don't crib about success or failure, but we do get hurt when people disrespect our hard work," he wrote. "Potugadu" is the remake of Kannada film "Govindaya Namaha". Pavan Wadeyar, who helmed the original, has directed the Telugu version as well. Sireesha Lagadapati has produced the film, which is currently in post-production stage. It also features Sakshi Chowdhary, Simran Kaur Mundi and Nathalia Kaur in important roles.
Manchu Manoj Current Teega audio in August
Manchu Manoj’s undershoot movie Current Teega will have its audio released in the month of August. The shooting schedules are progressing at brisk pace. Rakul Preet is pairing up with Manchu Manoj in the film and Sunny Leone is playing a prominent role. G Nageshwar Reddy of Seema Sastry, Dhenikaina Ready fame is wielding the megaphone for the film. Current Teega is being produced by Vishnu Manchu under 24 Frames Factory banner. Achu is composing the musical scores. Manchu Vishnu launches rural health scheme
Actor Vishnu Manchu Monday announced here the launch of rural health scheme in five villages in Chandragiri mandal. The aim is to enhance access to health services in the backward regions. "Our vision is good health and healthy life for all," Vishnu said in a statement. "We want them to lead a healthy life so that they can focus on their livelihood. In fact, health, sanitation and hygiene are vital for economic productivity and these are areas which need attention right now in a rural setting," he added. Vishnu said that an important aspect of the services is to "record the medical diagnosis and treatment history of the beneficiaries", which will help the doctors provide "better care in future". "So the data of thousands of villagers will be stored and can be retrieved by them whenever they want and also every year they can compare their health statistics," he added. Students of Sree Vidyanikethan, owned by Vishnu's actor father Mohan Babu, will work as volunteers in the scheme as part of the institution's social responsibility team "Army Green". By 2015, Vishnu hopes to cover "100 villages through the scheme".
