Well known music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri has sung a song for Satish Neenasam-Sindhu Lokanath starrer 'Love in Mandya' being directed by lyricist turned director Arasu Anthaare. There is a romantic duet in the film called 'Current Hoda Timeali, Hudugi Idlu Magglali' and Bappi Lahiri has sung the duet along with Sinchan Deekshith. Recently the song was shot in a set erected at the Kanteerava Studios. Music director Anoop Seelin says it was his long pending dream to work with Bappi Lahiri. 'I always wanted to compose a song for Bappi Lahiri. When I composed this song, we thought it would be perfect if Bappi Lahiri sings the song. Accordingly, Bappi Lahiri has sung the song and I hope it will be a great hit' says Anoop Seelin.
'Mandakini' is variety film
The Kannada film 'Mandakini' all set to go on the floor on 9th day of 9th month at 9 am 9 minutes and 9 seconds. This will be a variety film for the audience with nature playing a prominent role says Ramesh Surve a publisher cum editor turned director addressing the media on Wednesday evening. 'Mandakini' is my dream of 27 years. I have written many scripts in the past but they are under scrutiny by Kannada producers. Not happy with protracted behavior I am directing my own script this time with well known social servant and businessman B.N.Srinivas as the producer disclosed Surve. Sri Harsha Productions 'Mandakini' is a girl from an affluent family in a village. She is very innocent and comes to city. When she encounter different mindset of people in her life how does she react to the situations is the crux of this film narrated Surve a talkative and straightforward person. Rashmi of 'Dhuniya' super hit film fame is playing the title role. Chetan, Ashwin, Suresh Rai and Sangamesh Upase are the four youths who come in the life of innocent 'Mandakini'. Kalyan has written the songs and composing seven songs for this film. Producer B.N.Srinivas is a man with wide knowledge in business since three decades. He owns Sri harsha Mahal and Sri Harsha Residency in Bangalore. He has been awarded national award as 'Rashtriya Rathna' for ISO 9001 standard Kalyan Mantap. He has been running five old age and orphan houses. It is a rag to riches story of him. He is confident of director Ramesh Surve capability. Among the highlights of this film Surve who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues says this is a film meant for youths of today. There are six choreographers for this film, the nature is the teacher here, there is eight minutes song that will be shot in 20 districts and 40 taluks of Karnataka depicting the rich natural beauty etc. Srinath, Pavitra Lokesh, Doddanna, Prahallad Betegeri, Jayanthi, Sharat Lohitashva, Bank Janardhan, Mysore Ramananda, Biradar, Mimicry Rajagopal, Shoba Naidu are also in the cast. 'Mandakini' producer gesture
Producer B.K.Srinivas of the film 'Mandakini' has shown an admirable gesture to the team members of his maiden film. The accident insurance policy to all those who are connected to the making of the film 'Mandakini' was distributed by noted director T.S.Nagabharana in the presence of 'Mandakini' film team. Producer Srinivas disclosed that this is a small gesture to those who worked day and night. No one should meet with the accident. This policy would be useful in case of emergency but safety is assured he said. 'I have seen many producers who attach importance to money but, B.K.Srinivas stands out with good thought and concern', said T.S.Nagabharana after distributing the accident insurance policy papers to the team of 'Mandakini'. Labour commissioner Nagaraj lauded the humanity in producer B.K.Srinivas. Director Ramesh Surve, actor Chetan, actress Rashmi, senior supporting actor Brahmavar and 70 others received the accident relief insurance card. The insurance policy covers risk up to Rs.1 lakh and it is for one person.
Manya to wed Satya Patel
It is wedding bells for Manya. Actress Manya is getting married later this month. The groom is Satya Patel, a US citizen now working with Swiss Re. Patel is the vice president of the re-insurance company Swiss Re. The wedding will take place in Chicago on the 31st of this month. Manya has acted in several Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. Her films include Shashtri, Ambi, Preethi, Aparichitan, One Man Show, Kaathara etc. In Telugu, Many acted in Ravi Chavali's film 'College'.
'Mandakini' I print ready
Anxiously awaited 'Mandakini' by Sri Harsha Productions B.K.Srinivas is ready with the first print and all set to go before the censor committee for certificate. Shot in 72 days one of the songs in this film is shot in 17 districts of Karnataka. This song runs for 10 minutes and eight seconds said to be the lengthiest song in the history of Kannada cinema. This is on the significance of Karnataka state. For shooting of seven songs the budget touched 80 lakhs of rupees. Debutant director Ramesh Surve has worked day and night on the story, screenplay and dialogue. The budget of the film has crossed Rs.2.5 crores for producer B.K.Srinivas. Rashmi of 'Dhuniya' fame plays the title role in this film. Kalyan has scored the music. P.K.H.Das is the cameraman. Different Danny stunts, Ismail art direction are part of this film. Chetan, Ashwin, Jayanthi, Sudharani, Sharat Lohitashva, Doddanna, Janardhan, Shoba Naidu and others are in supporting roles.
Mandahasa Releasing On 30th In Triveni
In a sudden turn of events, 'Mandahasa' which was scheduled to release in Anupama theatre in Bangalore has been changed as 'Jayammana Maga' will be rereleasing in Anupama. So, 'Mandahasa' has been shifted to Triveni theatre and 'Mandahasa' will be replacing 'Tony' this week. Earlier, 'Mandahasa' was announced in Anupama theatre. But actor-producer Vijay has decided to shift 'Jayammana Maga' from Bhumika theatre to Aparna. Vijay says that many people are saying that going to Bhumika theatre is rather confusing and so has decided to rerelease the film in Anupama theatre from the 30th of August. Meanwhile, 'Mandahasa' starring Rakesh Adiga, Nikki and Chethan which was supposed to release in Anupama has been shifted to Triveni theatre. 'Tony' was released in Triveni a few weeks back, but as the film is in deficit, the producers have decided to stop the run and give the theatre to 'Mandahasa'.
