'Toss' busy in dubbing

The shooting of 'Toss' (Bomma! Borusa!), directed by Priyadarsini Ram and produced by D Amarnath and KK Radhamohan on the banner of Dev Film Dreams Pvt Ltd., with Upendra in a lead role, 'Anand' Raja, Priyamani and Kamna Jethmalani as hero and heroine is in final stages. At the same time, the dubbing activities are also in brisk progress at Sabdalaya Theatres. Upendra, who had a very good and different image as super star in Kannada, is playing a negative role in a Telugu film for the first time. Upendra says, 'I liked the subject, so I have decided to change my regular style and doing it. I am sure that the Telugu audiences would welcome me in this character too.' In every individual, there will be two shades as bad and good. The director chose one good point as his theme and is making the film 'Toss' with a tagline Bomma! Borusa!. This is a straight Telugu film for Priyadarsini Ram after 'Manodu'.

Exploring the human psyche

Priyadarshini Ram has set much store by Toss that he feels that it would be another blockbuster. His second directorial venture stars Raja, Upendra, Kamna Jethmalani and Priyamani in the leads. His first movie was Manodu, which was critically acclaimed. That success has spurred him to attempt something on a bigger canvas. Here he tries to get into the mind of two diverse characters. 'It is a toss up between the two,' he says in a bid to explain the slightly unconventional title. Bomma Borusa ..., the film's tagline explains the chancy nature of life itself and the two shades are the faces of the same coin. It is this ability to see philosophical explorations in everyday happenings that make Ram special. Upendra is the one with negative shade while Raja is the ramrod straight individual.

Priyadarshini Ram to direct Sriram in Telugu

Producer SK Basheed, who had produced 'Allare.. Allari' is planning a new film on the banner of Bajju Art Productions. Popular Tamil hero Sriram will be the hero of the new film to be directed by Priyadarshini Ram of 'Manodu' fame. The film is likely to go to sets in the first week of September. Producer Basheed says, 'I very much liked 'Manodu' film directed by Priyadarsini Ram. I am ready with a high budget for this film and planning to spend at least Rs 8 crores. The film would be at international standards and a novel subject that never appeared on the Telugu screen would be molded on the celluloid. It is a total entertainer with action backdrop. I am sure that the film would give a good break to Sriram in Telugu. I am confident on the ability of director Priyadarsini Ram in directing my film.'
