Sonam Kapoor is not disturbed by the one-week delay in the release of her movie “Mausam” as she feels that she has got an extra week to promote her “first true love story”. “I would be able to promote my film for one more week. It’s absolutely fine if the release date got pushed by a week. We have worked very hard and we are waiting for the film to release for a long time. Another seven days don’t matter,” Sonam told IANS. The directorial debut of eminent actor Pankaj Kapoor, “Mausam” features Sonam as a Kashmiri girl who falls in love with a Punjabi boy, Shahid Kapoor. The Indian Air Force (IAF) had raised an objection to a 30-second scene in the film. Though the censor board had given a U-certificate to the film, IAF had given a conditional No Objection Certificate (NOC) as they wanted that 30-second sequence to be corrected. Getting the NOC from IAF after correction was too late to send prints overseas, which compelled the makers to postpone release from Sep 16 to Sep 23. The actress, who made her debut in acting with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Saawariya” opposite Ranbir Kapoor, describes “Mausam” as her first true love story. “I have never done a perfect love story. The film is about two people who want to be together. Here both of them love each other. I have never done a love story where both of them love each other,” said the actress who featured in films like “Delhi-6″, “I Hate Luv Storys”, “Aisha” and “Thank You”. Sonam, daughter of actor Anil Kapoor, is confident she would sustain long in the industry. “I know that I am here to stay. I work very hard and hopefully I would be here for a long time,” said the 26-year-old.
'Maisamma IPS' completes first schedule
The first schedule of 'Maisamma IPS' directed by Bharat Parepalli and produced by K Ramakrishna Prasad with popular item dance girl Mumaith Khan in the title role was completed recently. The speciality of the film is that Union minister and Darsaka Ratna Dasari Narayana Rao provided the story and screenplay. Some action scenes were shot on Mumaith Khan and Satya Prakash and others. Director says, 'The role moulded by Dasari Narayana Rao was like a tailor-made for Mumaith Khan. Her fights and performance would attract the mass audiences. So far the audiences watched her dances but this time, they could see the real artiste in her performance.' Prabhakar, Sayaji Shinde, Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Raghubabu, Jeeva, Satya Prakash and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by P Rajendra Kumar, music is by Vandemataram Srinivas, camera is by Surender Reddy, while Dasari Padma is presenting the movie.
'Maisamma IPS' shoots at Film Nagar
At least 40 per cent of the shooting of 'Maisamma IPS' directed by Bharat Parepalli and produced by K Ramakrishna Prasad on the banner of Sowbhagya Media with Mumaith Khan playing the title role was completed. The film was launched at Annapurna Studio on July 16. The film was shot at Annapurna Studios, Aluminium factory and other locations. Presently the film is being shot at a private house in Film Nagar. Some scenes involving Brahmanandam and Mumaith Khan are being shot there. Vandemataram Srinivas is scoring music for the flick, while story and screenplay are by Darsaka Ratna, Dasari Narayana Rao. Prabhakar, Sayaji Shinde, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Raghubabu and Jeeva are in the cast. Dialogues are by Rajendra Kumar, camera is by Surender Reddy, action is by Ram Lakshman, editing is by Krishnamraju.
'Maisamma IPS' in dubbing process
Dubbing work is in progress for 'Maisamma IPS' directed by Bharat Parepalli and produced by K Ramakrishna Prasad on the banner of Sowbhagya Media with noted item song specialist Mumaith Khan in the title role, at Rhythm Digital Studio in Hyderabad. It may be mentioned here that the story and screenplay for the film were provided by Darsaka Ratna Dr Dasari Narayana Rao. The director of the film Bharat Parepalli had worked as an associate with Dasari Narayana Rao for about 35 films in a span of 14 years. Later, Bharat had directed about 20 films. Though Bharat had earned a good name as one of the best technicians, he failed to achieve a remarkable hit in his career. The director says, 'I will try my best to bring out 'Maisamma IPS' as big hit as 'Osay Ramulamma' and ensure that it would celebrate 100 days at any cost. We are planning to release the film as Dasara gift.'
'Maisamma IPS' to hit screen in Nov with 150 prints
Shooting of 'Maisamma IPS' directed by Bharat, presented by Smt Dasari Padma and produced by K Ramakrishna Prasad on the banner of Sowbhagya Media with Mumaith Khan playing the title role is progressing in and around Hyderabad. The speciality of the film is that Union minister, Darsaka Ratna, Dr Dasari Narayana Rao is providing story, screenplay for the movie. Director Bharat shot some scenes involving Mumaith Khan, Sayaji Shinde, Pradeep Rawat, Prasanna Kumar and others recently. The current schedule would continue till October 13 with which the shooting would be wrapped up. After completing the post-production works as early as possible, the producer is planning to release the film in November with 150 prints across the State and efforts are being made in this regard.
Madhu Masam begins songs recording
The first schedule of 'Madhu Masam' directed by Chandra Siddhartha of 'Aa Naluguru'-fame and produced by Dr D Ramanaidu on the banner of Suresh Productions with Sumanth, Sneha and Parvathi Melton in the lead was completed recently. The second schedule of the film would begin very soon. Meanwhile, songs recording for the film has begun at Mahathi Recording Studio in Film Nagar of Hyderabad. The film would complete the shooting and other post-production formalities soon and would be released in December or in January.
