It's all work and no fun for Trisha this Deepavali. The actress would be shooting for her film King alongside Nagarjuna in Bangalore on the festive day. The young actress, who is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Abhiyum Naanum', directed by Radha Mohan, says, ' I will be in the sets of King on Deepavali day. It's all work for me on Deepavali day.' Trisha who has completed 'Abhiyum Naanum' and working in the films Sarvam, directed by Vishnuvardhan and Goutham Menon's 'Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam', says, 'I am doing movies of different genres now. Every film is different from the other. My characterization is quite plausible in all the movies.' On 'Abhiyum Naanum', she said, "It is a different film altogether. It speaks about the emotional bondage shared between a father and his daughter. I have done several films with Prakashraj and we share a good rapport on screen. Radha Mohan has rendered an engrossing tale, which is far away from commercial cinema." 'Sarvam' is a movie to reckon with. A team of talented technicians led by Vishnuvardhan are working round-the-clock for the movie. 'Chennaiyil Oru Maazhaikalam' is fast nearing completion. A few more portions have to be shot. Working with Goutham is a great learning experience'. However the actress is tight-lipped when queried about 'Marma Yogi'. 'It is all but Kamal Haasan in the film. It is not appropriate for me to talk about it now'.
Kollywood gaga over IT firms
Movies on IT firms and BPOs seem to be the latest craze in Tamil cinema. Following the success of 'Yaradi Nee Mohini', Gautham Menon is all set to churn out 'Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam' starring Trisha which is about life among youth in an IT firm. Similarly, director Kanmani is busy shaping up a film titled 'Chennai Pattanam', which is inspired by a similar theme. The movie revolves around a group of friends who work in an IT firm and chronicles their lives. The movie is produced by Sri Balaji Arts and newcomers Vamsi, Anandh, Gowtham, Malinga, Sankalp, Priyanka, Pooja, Sowmya and Karuna form part of the cast. Manivannan and Pandiarajan play prominent roles in 'Chennai Pattanam'.
Three cheers for Trisha
Trisha is a busy bee in Kollywood these days. She is shuttling between various locations. Trisha is part of three prominent projects being made simultaneously in Tamil cinema now. Trisha is playing Arya's ladylove in 'Sarvam' (directed by Vishnuvardhan), 'Abhiyum Naanum' with Prakash Raj (directed by Radha Mohan) and Gautham Menon's 'Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam'. Interestingly plans are on to remake her super hit Telugu film 'Bujigadu'. Interestingly the movie was about a die-hard Rajini fan and was shot in Chennai. She is now being urged to do the role in the remake version too. 'I am happy and thrilled to work with talented directors. Everyone has their own style of film-making. It is indeed a great learning experience for me', says a happy Trisha.

Jithan Ramesh to spring back
Ramesh announced his arrival with bang in Jithan. His next couple of films did reasonably well, and Ramesh, son of veteran producer R B Choudhary, is optimistic that his next release Puli Varudhu will help him find a permanent place in the industry. Producer ELK Antony, who churned out Manadhodu Mazhaikalam last year, is producing Puli Varudhu. Acting opposite Ramesh is Mallika Kapoor, who had made her presence felt in Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukiradhu and Vaathiyar before. The movie has a huge star cast which includes Karunaas, Manivannan, Saranya, and Kuyili among others. Srikanth Deva is scoring music for the movie. Directing the movie is debutant G V Kumar. He has worked with the likes of Dharani, Maharajan, and Vincent Selva before. It is a hilarious entertainer. 'The movie is set around events that occur in a wedding in a rural village,' says Kumar.
Hope springs eternal for Shaam
Though his Manadodu Mazhaikalam has managed just an average outing, Shaam is optimistic of the fortunes of his next venture Thoondle. 'It is a bubbly romantic film with good mix of sentiments', says Shaam. Thoondle features Shaam and Kuthu fame Ramya in the lead roles. Director Adhiyaman, whose last release Priyasakhi did not do well at the box office is confident of bouncing back with Thoondle. The director had commenced shooting of the movie in London and few scenes involving Shaam and Ramya were shot there. The shooting for the movie is progressing at a rapid pace. On his part, Adhiyaman sounds optimistic that the movie would work-out well with masses.
