Yash Raj Films had got Daler Mehendi to sing for one of the Jhoom (Punjabi version) songs, but the terms and conditions did not work out, and thus we (Yash Raj Films) were informed by Daler's secretary that we should remove his voice, which we then did and preceded with Shankar Mahadevan's voice. This matter was thus concluded approximately 11 months ago, and we (Yash Raj Films) are surprised that Daler Mehendi is bringing this matter up now.
Daler Mehendi sings for Yamadonga
The shooting of 'Yamadonga' directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Cherry and Urmila Gunnam on the banner of Sri Viswamitra Creations with NTR, Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas as hero and heroines and Padma Shri Dr Mohanbabu playing a prestigious role of Yamadharma Raju and Khushboo as his wife, is progressing well in Ramanaidu studios. The popular number of the late NTR, 'Olammee Tikka Regindaa'' was remixed for the song. The speciality is that NTR and Mamata Mohandas themselves rendered the song to which they shook legs on the screen as well. Likewise, there is another speciality that popular Hindi pop singer Daler Mehendi had rendered a song for the film. It is well aware that MM Keeravani is scoring music for the movie. There were lot of expectations on the movie as this would be the hattrick hit for the combination of NTR and Rajamouli.
Daler Mehndi sings in Telugu for 'Kathanayakudu'
The magic and mayhem around superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kathanayakudu' is getting bigger by the day. The audio album of the movie will hit the market on July 1 across the country. G. V. Prakash has reportedly come out with very good songs and Punjabi pop king Daler Mehndi will be singing in Telugu for the first time. Lending his inimitable voice for the song 'Oyam Zaarare' this is the first time the popular singer will be featured in a South Indian song. Big names of the music industry such as Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Sujata, Chitra, Sadhna Sargam, Shreya Ghosal, Kailash Kher and Prasanna.V.V. have all sung for 'Kathanayakudu'. Superstar Rajinikanth speaking about his role in the film said, "The character Ashok Raj will be a turning point in my career. I have always been overwhelmed by the response I get from my audience. I have portrayed nearly 20 different characters for a song in this film and I m very excited about the movie." While Daler Mahendi's song 'Oyam Zarare' is poised to be the next chartbuster, the audiences will groove to another foot tapping song that would feature many major stars of the South Indian Film industry. The audio rights for 'Kathanayakudu' have been bagged by Big Music, truly a big name in the music business. 'Kathanayakudu' also stars Jagapathi Babu, Meena, Mamta Mohandas and Nayantara in lead roles.
Daler Mehndi in Kuselan
Noted Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi will render a song in Rajini starrer 'Kuselan'. According to sources, the Perinba Pechukaran, a song set to tunes by G V Prakash, will have Daler Mehndi singing it. The movie directed by P Vasu features Rajinikanth, Nayantara, Pasupathy and Meena in lead roles. Produced by Kavithalaya, the movie went to floors recently.
