Only acting skills counts when it comes to acting. So, Miss India Sayali Bhagat was made to go through vigorous ordeal before giving the nod to play the lead role in Nandita Singha's film 'Main, Rony Aur Jony'. The pretty girl got the chance to met Singha through a common designer friend Rohit K. Varma. In spite of her Miss India tag, she was made to go through video conferencing interview like her co-star Aditya Bal before giving her the role. The ordeal didn't end there. She went through 45 days vigorous workshop in order to make her go deep into the skin of her character. Sayali said that Nandita made her see her role as an actor and not as a model. She added that she changed her perception on acting by reminding her that only performance matters at the end of the day. Nandita Singha is also happy with after effect of the workshop. She said that few days of hard work has brought out the magic out of the artistes.
Miss ANARA ready for release
Based on the real life story of Miss Jammu, controversial Hindi feature film MISS ANARA is now ready for release. Anara Gupta (Miss Jammu), Amit Roy & K.K.Yadav would be in Delhi today to address a press conference for the promotion of the film and would be geared up to battle all sorts of questions coming their way.
Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho' poster released
The first poster for the political satire "Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho" was launched on the digital platform on Wednesday. The film, directed and produced by Vinod Kapri, stars Annu Kapoor, Hrishita Bhatt and Rahul Bagga in pivotal roles, said a statement. "Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho" is a political satire running along a perilous love-story based in Tanakpur, a village in Haryana. The pradhan of Tanakpur, Sualal Gandas (Anu) rules the village with extensive powers, vested upon him by a 'Khap'. Incidentally, the cruel Sualal has a gentle, dreamy and much younger wife Maya (Hrishita) and as luck would have it, she falls in love with Arjun (Rahul), a man closer to her age and heart. The satire becomes poignant when Sualal and his friends humiliate Arjun publicly by accusing him of raping Miss Tanakpur. The film is set to release on June 19.
Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho' director found his 'dream cast
With actors such as Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra, Annu Kapoor and Ravi Kishan, director Vinod Kapri, who is making his feature film debut with "Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho", says he found his "dream cast" for the movie. The film, which also stars Rahul Bagga and Hrishita Bhatt, narrates the story of a man who is falsely accused by a village strongman of raping a buffalo named 'Miss Tanakpur'. The powerful man of the village also gets the Khap panchayat to pass a verdict that he has to marry the victim. On a visit with the cast to promote the film, the director shared that he finalised the cast while writing the script itself. “It is dream star cast to work with and this is fact. I finalised each and every actor while writing the script. For instance, I knew that I wanted to talk with Annu-ji and Ravi for the roles they are playing in the movie. I forced my friend to call them to enquire about their dates. “Also, I contacted Sanjay-ji's brother to ask him to be a part of this film. He was in my mind from the time I started writing the script,” he added.

This is in response to a report in a leading Mumbai tabloid which falsely alleged that her show's promoter Farhath Hussain (who also organizes Bollywood shows all over UK) was trying to rope in one of the actresses amongst Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta to get into Shilpa's shoes for the second innings after differences on price factor. Shilpa Shetty had denied though that she has been booted out from the second run of her successful West End musical 'Miss Bollywood'.
