A new film titled 'Mittai' has all the potential to cause quite a stir in the hearts of conventional people as initial reports suggest that it weaves the story of a woman who gets married to two men at the same time. However, the director of the film M. S. Anbu emphasized that the film will not disturb anybody and even went on to add that the film is socially responsible. The think-tank behind the film has come up with a novel way to decide on the ending. Once 75% of the film is complete shooting would stop and a contest would start. Contestants would be short listed and shown the incomplete film. The contestants are then expected to write the ending of the story. The person who comes up with the best ending for the film would be presented with gold mittai's worth 1 lakh of rupees. The expenses of participants who travel from other parts of Tamilnadu to Chennai would be taken are of by the producers of the film. The whole idea seems to be a wonderful marketing endeavor, but it could also mean that the filmmakers are not able to come up with a suitable ending. However, the approach is new and could end up rewarding a talented writer with a career.
