Sonam Kapoor, who has garnered positive response for her performance in “Raanjhanaa”, says she is surprised with the film's success, but admits she won't let success go to her head. "I am very surprised but I am happy over the success of my film. I have got very good feedback for the film. But I don't want to go crazy about it. I want to keep my head down and be modest about it have some humility and hope the next time I don't let them down," said Sonam. “Raanjhanaa”, directed by Anand L. Rai, also features southern star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut with the film.
Kushal Tandon: Another Model on Bollywood Trail...
Model Kushal Tandon is a well known face with an assortment of big advertisements like Sony Ericsson, Skoda, Activia, Airtel, Dairy Milk, Eva Deodorant, Only Vimal Reid & Taylor (with Amitabh Bachchan), Kawasaki Bajaj etc. Tandon has also walked the ramp and appeared on fashion shows like Lakme Fashion Week, shows for Provogue, Spykar, Giodarno etc. He was the first runner up of Mr Grasim 2005. And now Kushal Tandon has entered the big world of films for film maker Raj Kanwar of Indrajeet Films has signed him for one his next films. It seems this hunky poster boy is all set to walk the hard road of Bollywood. Soon.
Now Brazilian model for HIJACK
Brazilian model Mariah features in her first Bollywood Hindi flick as the main lead for a promotional song. This was shot on Saturday 15th March at Poison. On the sets were present Kunal Shivdasani, Shiney Ahuja and model Mariah. This is a song, which introduces the characters in the movie and is based on the people that get hijacked later on in the film. Although Shiney was very much present at the sets he was not part of this promotional song. This is Ad Filmmaker Kunal Shivdasani's Debut film as a Director. HIJACK is presented by EROS ENTERTAINMENT and produced under ALEYA MOTION MAGIC. HIJACK is a high paced action thriller. The film is about Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) who has ground maintenance job at the Chandigarh airport. His social life is limited to one friend Rajeev who is the security chief of the same airport. Vikram's daughter is traveling on the flight that gets hijacked by a group of 6 terrorists. These terrorists demand the release of Rasheed (K.K.Raina) from the Indian government or they threaten to kill the hostages inside the aircraft at large. Saira (Esha Deol) palys the gutsy airhostess on this hijacked flight. Vikram left with little choice gears up for the task ahead to save his daughter as well rescue the other passengers. Faced with the dilemma of being the only man who could sneak inside the aircraft, he manages to get in the aircraft with the help of airhostess Saira (Esha Deol). What follows is a brilliant game plan where Vikram starts plotting and planning to kill the terrorists one by one. The cast includes Shiney Ahuja, Esha deol, KK Raina, Kavitha Jha, Mona Ambegaonkar and others. Genelia on a denial mode
Genelia D'Souza, the 'Jaane Tu' girl who is making it big in Bollywood and Tollywood alike, has denied reports of any relationship with Ritesh Deshmukh. She teamed up with the actor for her first Hindi film 'Tujhe Meri Kasam'. 'I'm very much single. Ritesh is my friend. But that's it. I've no idea where these rumours emerge from. We're both very busy. When we occasionally meet up, we're normal with each other,' says the actress about the gossip on their relationship. Stating that she was never that keen on an acting career, Genelia says, 'But when I saw how I was appreciated down south, I fell in love with the industry. I've been lucky. I didn't plan anything. So far it's been an awesome journey.'
Modhi Vilayadu A romantic thriller
The look and feel of Saran's 'Modhi Vilayadu' is very impressive. The film stars Vinay and Kajal Agarwal. The way the movie stills are designed seem to tell a story. A story of youthful love amalgamated with a lot of thriller elements. Both Vinay and Kajal Agarwal look good together in the stills. Saran, known to be a good story teller has come up with many a hit with Ajith in the past. Vinay's impressive performance in 'Unnale Unnale' and Kajal's innocent and yet flamboyant look has merged very well to create enough curiosity with this film. 'Modhi Vilayadu' is produced by Metro Films (P) Ltd in association with Gemini Industries and Imaging (P) Ltd. An interesting fact about this film is that Colonial Cousins (Hariharan and Leslie) are debuting in Tamil films as music directors.
