More news →SATYA cinematographer Mazhar Kamran debuts as director with MOHANDAS
Mazhar Kamran's directorial debut Black comedy 'Mohan Das' starring Sonali Kulkarni, Nakul Vaid, Sushant Singh, Sharbani Mukherjee, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Uttam Haldar, Aditya Shrivastav, Akhilendra Mishra and Govind Namdeo, has moved into premixing and music mixing. Mazhar Kamran, noted cinematographer for successful films like Satya, Kaun, Jhankar Beats and Masti, has turned a director with his forthcoming film Mohandas. This film deals with problems of common man and treats it with open satire. Screenplay of the film is by Uday Prakash, Music is by Vivek Priyadarshan and Lyrics is VK Sonakia and Yash Malviya, Cinematography is by Mazhar Kamran, Editor is Suresh Pai and Art Director is Jayant Deshmukh. Mamta Mohandas renders 'Rakhee' song
Malayalam heroine Mamta Mohandas joined Devisri Prasad to render the title song of 'Rakhee', directed by Krishnavamsi, presented by S Gopal Reddy and produced by KL Narayana on the banner of Durga Arts, with NT Ramarao, Ileana and Charmi in the lead. The audio of Rakhee, which has a brother-sister sentiment in its storyline, was released on December 7. It may be mentioned that she was selected as one of the heroines for the NT Ramarao's forthcoming flick 'Yama Donga' to be directed and produced by SS Rajamouli. When all the heroines are looking for a sweet voice to dub their sound, Mamta Mohandas went a step ahead and rendered a song itself, which is great. All the best to Mamta Mohandas.
Mamata Mohandas to play opposite Jagapatibabu
Manly hero Jagapatibabu is presently enjoying the successes of 'Samanyudu' and 'Pellaina Kothalo'. Both of them had celebrated 100 days functions recently. The industry and the audiences are eagerly looking at the forthcoming flick of Jagapatibabu. This hero is taking a good care to show some kind of difference in each of his films. The speciality is that JD Chakravarthy is going to direct Jagapatibabu's next film, besides doing a negative role in the same flick. Sources in the film industry say, the film is going to be made by the producers of 'Adi Oka Idilay'' being directed by popular script writer Kona Venkat. Another interesting point is that popular Malayalam heroine and singer Mamata Mohandas is playing opposite Jagapatibabu as heroine. Though Mamata Mohandas is getting good offers from the Tollywood, she is accepting selected films only if she really likes the character. The film is likely to go to sets very soon. According to director JD Chakravarthy, the role in this latest flick would have the shades of the role earlier played by Jagapatibabu in 'Antahpuram'.

It is a norm in Telugu for all leading heroes to have more than one heroine in the film. So, in keeping with the tradition, Venkatesh' 'Chintakayala Ravi ' Software Engineer' too has two heroines. While Charmme was a strong contender till recently, finally Mamata Mohandas has been confirmed for the role. The Aakaleste girl is much in demand ever since she started acting along with singing. The film has just been formally launched and the first schedule will begin from March 18.
