Its all about Money Honey!!

Versatile actor Akshay Kumar apparently refused choreographer- turned-director Ganesh Acharya, when he approached him for an item number in his film- 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai'. While Akshay was busy finishing the shooting schedules for two of his films Singh is Kinng and 8X10, Ganesh Acharya visited one of his sets and asked him to do an item number in 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai'. Akshay the money-maker who wanted his price, asked the director to fix him a meeting with producer Kumar Mangat if they wanted to sign him in their film. The actor quoted a price ranging between 1-1.5 crores for this number. Known for his versatile style this actor surely wanted what he deserved. Well' what now remains is whether the makers of this film will be ready to go ahead with the actor and his price.

'Hot Money' directly gets a HOME VIDEO release

Around a few months back the news about Rakhi Sawant's outfit made completely of 2000 coins! Known for her dare bare acts, there were wide speculations about this unique outfit! The film was HOT MONEY' and to top it all, the film was directed by Rakhi's own brother Rakesh Sawant. Though the film was being shot last year, the film is now getting for a release and that too directly on HOME VIDEO i.e. DVDs and VCDs. The film stars Tarun Arora in the lead along with Rati Agnihotri, Mukesh Tiwari and Divya Dwivedi.

Smart money on Sainikudu

You have it to hand it to Mahesh Babu. Big Things Need Big Money, says Sajid Nadiadwala

It was reported lately in the Media that Jaan-e-mann was not ready to be screened for the closing ceremony at the prestigious South Asian film festival. The producers would like to clarify, that its true that earlier there was talks of the film be showcased at the prestigious festival on Oct 8 th. But then it was mutually decided not to go ahead because it would be too early keeping in mind the Indian release date is Oct 20th 'Jaan-e-mann' has been arousing stupendous curiosity and is the most awaited blockbuster this festival season. And therefore it's rightly justified to ensure that everyone sees the film on the release date. In fact the innovative producer has gone a step ahead & tied up with UFO Moviez to distribute the film digitally to 500 cinemas, thus ensuring that even the B & C centres get to see the movie on the worldwide release date. Says Sajid Nadiadwala, 'Yeah its true that earlier we had talks to screen the film at the prestigious SAIFF, but than we mutually decided not to go ahead since it would be a bit early and would only be fair if everyone gets to see the film on the worldwide release date.' 'Jaan-E-Mann' has been in the news right from day it started. The buzz just got bigger with coming together of two charismatic superstar Salman & Akshay who shared an extremely robust chemistry in the blockbuster 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'. Bollywood diva Preity Zinta just made the film bigger. Additionally it is being produced by 'Mr.Blockbuster' himself Sajid Nadiadwala who has had a strings of hits starting with 'Waqt Hamara Hain', 'Jeet' , 'Judwaa', 'Har Dil Jo Pyaar Kareega', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'. The film trade, the true barometer of a film success at the Box Office has declared it as a winner, even before its release. How bullish is the film trade about 'JAAN E MANN' can be gauged from the fact it has broken all records for the distribution rights of the various territories. 'Jaan-e-Mann' is a 35 crore film and Sajid Nadiadwala invested the amount only in a 2 minute narration of Farah Khan at a party because he was so impressed & kicked by the idea. The much awaited musical block-buster 'Jaan-E-Mann' is a romantic musical love story based in New York showcased like a broad way musical with the story told in an unusual manner by the very talented debutant director Shirish Kundar. Says Sajid Nadiadwala, 'People will be pleasantly surprised when they see Shirish's film. It is a visual delight, the emotions are right. It has a very unique method of story telling and it is a romantic musical which the audience prefers in the festival season.' Jaan-E-Mann' has become such a hot proposition that Sajid Nadiadwala has got the best theaters and record breaking theater chain especially in the lucrative market. In fact it's a record of sort that the distributors have got 250 plus screen in the Mumbai territory alone. It also proves the confidence level in the distribution fraternity regarding the quality Entertainers from the Nadiadwala Grandsons banner. Even the eye grabbing trailer of 'JAAN E MANN' created quite an impact in the mind of the audience. The slick and innovative promo cost the producer a cool 40 lakh. Says Sajid, 'I didn't mind spending 40 lakh on the promo of JAANE E MANN, because Big things need Big money. A quality product has to be marketed well. That is my commitment and belief in the film.'

Ash Has Got a Money Mail

Aishwariya Rai is making millions by starring in big films both in India as well as abroad. She also happens to be the highest paid brand ambassadors in the country. So, it's bound to make news when a parcel containing 23, 000 Euros (Approximately Rs 14 lakhs) weighing 16.5 kgs is addressed to her name and address by an unknown person from South Africa. The customs officials had notified regarding this parcel to Rai but she didn't revert back to their repeated notifications through letters. Ash is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar's 'Akbar Jodha' in Jaipur and the customs officials have clearly stated to her manager Haris Singh that they can't wait for her beyond the end of this week after which she would have to be summoned under the Customs Act. According to the customs officials she was not under investigation but if she continues to be non-cooperative with the investigations then she could face action under the Customs Act. The consignor is the one who is really answerable and can be questioned even if he is a Non-Indian. Film industry sources are saying that it might be an act of a fan who was eager to prove his loyalty towards the beautiful former Miss World. Well'What can we say'There are other better ways of showing your affection-n-loyalty dude.

MONOPOLY - THE GAME FOR MONEY cast ready to leave for Canada

Director, producer Nileish Malhotra of "Monopoly- The Game of Money" recently threw a party to celebrate and introduce his entire star cast and technicians to the press. All the artistes Zeenat Aman, Karran Khanna, Amrita Arora, Hrishita Bhatt, Rajat Bedi, Kunal Ganjwala and Vivek Shauq were present at the conference along with all four producers Nileish Malhotra, Jatinder Minhas, Ramesh Mehta and Manjit Bhatti. "We are happy that we have such a perfect star cast and the best technicians for our forthcoming venture. We are shooting at the virgin territories of Richmond in British Columbia. The entire team is leaving for Canada for a month long schedule on 15th September," comments Nileish Malhotra. Nileish Malhotra has already recorded four songs for "Monopoly-the game of money". First song was in Spanish and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Sukhvinder Singh while the title song is sung by Dolly Sidhu and Sukhwinder to the beats of tribal Red Indian music. One song is sung by Kunal Ganjwala and one is again rendered by Sukhwinder and Sneha Pant. Nileish Malhotra had visited British Columbia (Canada) for location scouting for his film "Monopoly- The Game of Money", and has met with Honorable Gordon Campbell, Premier (Chief Minister of British Columbia) Canada, the Honorable Iona V. Campagnolo (Lieutenant Governor Of British Columbia) Canada and Mayor of the city of Richmond, Honorable Malcolm Brodie. All of them promised him full cooperation for his forthcoming film to shoot in British Columbia. Malhotra Productions' second film and Elegant Film's Pvt Ltd.'s first film 'Monopoly-The Game of Money' is an Indo-Canadian Venture. Written by Rajesh Iyer, the film's technical director is Raju Subramanyan while Director of Photography is Jack Conroy (three times nominated for Oscars) from Hollywood. Elegant Films Pvt Ltd. has joined hands with Malhotra Productions, which is an audio-visual production company, having vast reservoir of experience and expertise in the field of documentary, animation, advertising film, feature film and software for television. It is a professionally managed company and since 1995 it is a member of the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers.
