Why Dalal Wants to Murder Mallika?

Mallika Sherawat continues to make headlines. Be it the hullabaloo over her true age, her nine minute walk-away-unnoticed role in Jackie Chan's 'The Myth' or her many quotable quotes in the media. 'Men talk to my boobs'.' Well that was the most tacky quote one could ever read (Though there's a semblance of truth in that though'Hah!). Now, the latest on Mallika is that an educated criminal Rajesh Dalal has been caught from Sangli in Maharashtra. Why? He had been planning to murder Mallika. Reason: She had been spoiling the name of the Jat community by constantly saying in the media that she is a simple girl from Haryana who made it big in Films. Phew! If that is not the price of fame, then what is! The police claim that it is a publicity stunt on the part of Dalal who has several cases registered against him. Mallika on her part is unfazed and says that she is not afraid. I don't think she should be. She is an actress who is doing a job (Yes, her acting in her last film 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' was pretty decent) and there are other ways of lodging a protest, why kill the poor girl. She never said anything disparaging about her community. So, what's the big deal! I think Mallika's spunk is genuine and she should retain that. Chak De Phatte girl'

When Helen wanted to 'murder' Divya Dutta

Actress Divya Dutta says yesteryear diva Helen wanted to murder her for playing a negative role in the educational drama "Chalk N Duster". "It was everyone's reaction... people wanted me to be nicer (on screen). But now, they feel like hating and beating me up. Yesterday, Helen aunty gave me a sweet compliment saying that she wants to murder me," Divya said at a screening of the film on Friday. "The reaction for this film... If more people hate me, I'll like it. Some are terming me as a devil, while some are calling me Cinderella's stepsister. So, it is a different kind of response for me. But I'm grateful to people for hating me," she added. In the film, which also stars Shabana Azmi and Juhi Chawla, Divya Dutta plays a principal who only looks at the commercial aspect of education. "I've always chosen films with my own mind and you feel like applying your mind in such a film and in doing such roles. When both the critics and audiences love you, it is very fortunate for an actor," she said.

Mohit Suri dubs few Jacqueline dialogues in 'Murder 2'

Director Mohit Suri, who has directed Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez in his upcoming film "Murder 2", had to dub a few of her lines because of pronunciation problems. "Jacqueline is a very hardworking girl and she really worked hard on her diction. I have retained most of her dialogues in the film and have dubbed only a few portions of her voice. But otherwise she has done everything on her own. She used to listen to the recorded lines and memorize the diction. "Murder 2" also stars Emraan Hashmi and is slated to hit the screens July 8

Mahesh Bhatt wrote Sheena Bora murder mystery months ago

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is shocked by the similarities between the Sheena Bora murder case and a story that grew out of his imagination, which he had penned back in May for his film "Ab Raat Guzarnewali Hai". After Bhatt saw the news of former CEO of INX Media, Peter Mukherjea’s wife Indrani Mukherjea, who is accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora, the filmmaker was shocked by the striking similarities to a script he had written for his protege Guroudev Bhalla. "I empathise with the living hell Peter is going through and this is not a pathetic attempt to ride on his unspeakable tragedy. But bizarre as it may sound, fact is that this is a case of life imitating fiction rather than fiction imitating life," Bhatt said in a statement. The story that Bhatt has penned was completed in May and will be produced by Dhaval Jayantilal Gada. It is a story of crime and passion, soaked in blood, revolving around a mother and daughter. While Bhatt refuses to get into details, he says it plays itself out in a media space with characters intoxicated by fame and power, flush with money and caught in multi-partner, bi-sexual relationships. "The story grew out of my imagination. I never imagined that it could be unfolding for real in a high rise in our backyard where the rich and powerful reside. The coincidence between a pure work of fiction and real life staggers me, it makes me shudder," he said. Now, with the Indrani-Sheena story grabbing headlines, will some of their real life story creep into his reel-life story? Bhatt said: "No, my work is done. I only wrote this story for my protege. The film should roll in December. I never imagined that it would explode for real as the mother of all crime stories."
