The audio of 'Muhurtam' directed by Ravi Tenali and produced by Kranti Thota on the banner of Sea House Entertainments with Praveen, Krishnasmitha as hero and heroine, would be launched in the second week of May. Director Ravi Tenali says, 'We made the film to totally reflect the Indian tradition and culture. Though novices, the hero and heroine gave a good performance. Especially, when small films are getting response from the audiences, we are very confident that our film would definitely enthral them and turn a big hit.' Producer Kranthi Thota says, 'Anil G gave melodious tunes to our movie. We are planning to launch the audio in the second week of May and release the film in the fourth week of May.' Kiran, Suresh, Vijaychandra, Sobha, Sandhya and Deepti are in the cast.
Mithun to play a negative role under JD's direction
Popular Bollywood artiste Mithun Chakraborthy is going to play a villain in a Telugu film. This would be the first ever film for Mithun Chakraborthy in Telugu. According to reliable information, JD Chakravarthy is going to direct the film with Jagapatibabu in the lead, while Mamata Mohandas is the heroine and JD himself is playing another hero. JD Chakravarthy is trying to mould the flick in a different angle. Story discussions were complete and selection of other artistes is in progress. The film is most likely to go to sets very soon.
Mithun Chakraborty first actor to be cast in 'Malupu': Director
Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty, who is making his Telugu debut in upcoming thriller "Malupu", was the first actor to be signed before all others for the movie, says its director Sathya Prabhas Pinisetty. The film, based on a true incident, features Sathya's brother Aadi Pinisetty in the lead and the director says he was a part of the project since its scripting phase. "My brother was a part of the project right from the beginning. Besides him, Mithun da was the first actor I had met with my story and had eventually signed him. I approached him with the role because the script demanded someone from Mumbai," Sathya told. "The character that Mithun da plays is from Mumbai. But the character looks like a Tamilian. I wanted someone Telugu audiences have not seen before and with superstar status, because I'm projecting the character as larger than life," he said. Sathya says Mithun gave him 15 minutes to explain his character. "I somehow managed to get an appointment to meet Mithun da. He asked me to come meet him but told me that I have only 15 minutes to brief him about the character. When I finally met him, he asked me why I came all the way from Chennai to try and convince him when he's least interested," he said. "I started narrating the incident first and he slowly got involved and I could see that he was getting curious. By the time I finished my narration, it was half hour but he wasn't convinced and wanted to know more about the story. We discussed for two hours and he finally said he will do the film," he added. "Malupu", which releases on Friday, also features Nikki Galrani, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Harish Uthaman, Pasupathy and Aadukalam Naren in important roles.
Muhurtam Fixed For Mahesh - Koratala Film
Much awaited Mahesh Babu’s film with Koratala Siva will be launched on November 9 with a formal pooja ceremony. Regular shooting of the film will start in February after Mahesh is done with Murugadoss’s movie. Producers are launching this film early as it is one of the best muhurtams in Kartika Masam. Koratala has signed up top cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran for this film and Devi Sri Prasad will score the music. Mahesh is playing Chief Minister role in this film says the buzz. Koratala remained tight lipped about rumors of Mahesh’s character. Expectations are rife on this film as Koratala is red hot with three blockbusters in a row. Fans are expecting nothing short of Srimanthudu from this combination.
Muhurat fixed for Akhil's Re-Launch

Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar - A family affair
Former State Assembly Speaker and senior AIADMK leader K Kalimuthu is now going the Karunanidhi way. Taking a break from active politics, the busy politician is set to pen the dialogues for a movie being made on Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar. Vengai Marban, son of Kalimuthu, will direct the movie titled Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar. Besides wielding the megaphone, he would also play the title role in the movie. The movie would also feature Nasser, Parthiban, Ramki, Manivannan, Radha Ravi and S S Chandran among others. Ilayaraja would score music for the movie. Says Vengai Marban, 'I did extensive research to direct the movie. Gathered all the materials with utmost care. A popular actor will play the role of Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose and a prominent heroine in Tamil film industry would be part of the movie. Shooting will begin next week and the movie would be completed in seven months', he adds. Vengai Marban was a former associate of director Mahendran.
