More news →'Mutyala Muggu' Sridhar dies of cardiac arrest
Senior film artiste Sridhar, who made his debut through 'Mutyala Muggu' in 1975 under the direction of Bapu, died of cardiac arrest at 11.40 am in Apollo Hospital, Film Nagar, in Hyderabad on July 11. He is 68 and is survived by his wife and three daughters. He was born in Kummamuru in Krishna district. Sridhar was ailing for the past few days and was admitted to the hospital some 10 days ago. Sridhar proved himself as a versatile artiste by playing hero, villain and several other supporting characters in over 150 films. His roles in Bommarillu, Adavi Ramudu, Justice Choudary, Eenadu, Karunamayudu, Seethamalakshmi, Yashoda Krishna won him critical acclaim. Though not very handsome, Sridhar had maintained a charisma of his own and showed the versatility in portraying the characters. He has a long association with the Telugu film industry. The Telugu film industry lost an experienced artiste who could portray any positive or negative character with equal ease. musicmazaa condoles the death of this great artiste and express sympathy towards the bereaved family.
Mutyala Subbaiah to direct Mohanbabu
Noted director Mutyala Subbaiah, who had directed several films which have a strong story base like 'Hitler, Annayya, Pavitra Bandham, Pelli Chesukundam and Soggadi Pellam' is going to direct a film with Dr Mohanbabu in the latter's home production. It may be mentioned here that Dr Mohanbabu had made his debut through Swargam Narakam, not only portrayed different characters in over 500 films but also produced over 47 films on his own banner 'Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures'. Presently, story discussions are in brisk progress for the movie. As of now, Mohanbabu is busy with his own production, 'Raju Bhai' with his son Manoj as hero. Mutyala Subbaiah's film with Mohanbabu might go to sets after the completion of this present project. Earlier, the combination has a successful film like 'Soggadi Pellam'.
