More news →'Nadodigal' - film sans heroism
Director Samuthirakani played a villainous role in the film 'Subramaniyapuram' directed by Sasikumar. Samuthiraikani is back to direction and is coming up with a film called 'Nadodigal'. The film features 4 men and 3 women in lead roles. Interestingly, director Sasikumar plays a very prominent role in the film. Others in the cast include Bharani of 'Kalloori' fame and Vijay (Vasanth & Co owner's son). Music is by Sundar C. babu and cinematography by Kathir. The crux of the story would be based on the popular Tamil saying, 'Yaadhum Oore, Yaavarum Kaelir' (All the world is for everyone and everyone is a relative). The film is expected to delve deep into emotive relationships without any semblance of heroism. Characters would be portrayed realistically. This is a trend that is welcomed by Tamil audiences of late and this sure is a healthy sign.
Nadodi Mannan for Aug 23
Contrary to the normal way of offering his films to the big seasons, Janapriyanayakan Dileep has now pushed his new film 'Nandodimannan' for two weeks from Ramzan. As of now, the movie will grace the theatres by the 23rd of the next month. Nadodimannan is a full length humour film with its share of satirical elements. The movie will have Dileep as an young man named Padmanabhan who doesn't have any political alienation. But as he is asked to come to the city to organise some crowd for rallies, he immediately become popular and in no no time ends up as the Mayor of the city corporation. Mydhili comes up as Rima, a TV journalist who helps Padmanabhan to change the course of development activities in the city. Ananya and Archana Kavi are the other heroines of this movie which will also have Bollywood actor Shiyaji Shinde debuting into Mollywood. Vidhya Sager is the music director of this Viji Thampi film.

After a number of delays in releasing dates, Dileep's movie 'NadodiMannan' will get to theatres by next week. The movie which faced many financial difficulties in its production stages will be now presented by Madhan in the new banner of Vendar movies. Directed by Viji Thampi, the movie featuring Ananya, Saikumar, Salimkumar, Indrans, Suraaj , Nedumudi venu and Riyas Khan is opined to be a humorous political thriller . The base story of the movies is by V S Subash while Krishna Poojappura does the scripts. Vidhya Sagar is in charge of music while Sanjeev Shankar does the cinematography.
