Established Actor Pawan Malhotra is all set to make a comeback to television with Manish Goswami's Siddhant Cinevision Produced 'Aisa Desh Hai Mera'. Currently busy with films, Pawan will be seen in Farhan Akhtar's 'DON' as Narang with Shah Rukh Khan and is now back on television with the role of Gaurav Chopra's stepfather named Dr Sanjeet Marvah. An outright positive character, his role will start airing next week onward. Pawan has not been seen on the small screen since the last three years and as to why he chose 'Aisa Desh Hai Mera, he says, 'I would never say no to Mr Manish Goswami with whom I've had really wonderful experiences. With him I've done 'Kahaan Se Kahaan Tak' directed by the great Lekh Tandon, and this role in 'Aisa Desh hai Mera' really appealed to me! Manish Goswami has done lot of good things for television.' Also having done many breakthrough films like 'Saleem Langde Pe Mat Ro', 'Bagh Bahadur', etc previously, Pawan Malhotra has a history of excellent television work with serials like 'Nukkad', '9 Malabar Hill', 'Kahaan Se Kahaan Tak', 'Karishma' etc behind him.
Madhura Naranga' was originally meant for Prithviraj
Madhura Naranga' which will soon hit the screen was apparently meant for Prithviraj originally. The fact was revealed by the movie's scenarist Nishad Koya. He says that the story was first narrated to Prithviarj and that the actor had liked it. More discussion was scheduled after the scripting was completed. In the meanwhile, he was writing a script for Sugeeth and that did not work out. Sugeeth had already booked Kunchako Boban's date and Nishad could not find another story to replace the failed one. He then rewrote the one meant for Prithviraj to suit Chakochan. He adds that both Chakochan and Biju Menon who stars in Madhura Naranga are his friends.
