After roping in slender beauty Regina Cassandra and hot Television celeb Sree Mukhi to romance Avasarala Srinivas in the Telugu remake of Hindi adult comedy 'Hunterr', now the makers have roped in the third leading lady. Bengali actress Mishti Chakraborthy, who made her tollywood debut romancing Nithiin in 'Chinnadana Neekosam', has been roped in to play one of the female leads opposite Avasarala Srinivas. As Mishti was impressed with the role and narration given to her, she signed the film even though it was an adult comedy. 'Hunterr', which explores the life of a sex addict, was not only critically acclaimed but also branded adult even for the standards of Bollywood. How it will be received by Telugu audiences is a big question. But, makers claim to have made several changes to the subject and toned down the adult content to suit the sensibilities of relatively reserved Telugu audiences. To be directed by Naveen Medaram, the remake will be produced by Abhishek Pictures. It is commendable to see young actresses like Regina Cassandra and Mishty accepting to be part of content driven adult comedies.
SIIMA Awards 2015 Nominations
Organisers of SIIMA Awards 2015 have released the list of final nominations among 2014 Telugu releases. "Manam" and "Race Gurram" topped with 11 nominations each in 4th edition of SIIMA that will be held on 6th and 7th of August in Dubai. Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya, Balakrishna and Allu Arjun are in the race for the Best Actor Award, while Nayantara, Shruti Hassan, Rakul Preet, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha competing for Best Actress. Dhanush's Anekudu promotions in Nag's MEK
After a formal Anekudu press meet in Hyderabad, Dhanush and KV Anand have joined King Nagarjuna's Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu show. However, the episode is yet to be telecasted. Following the Bollywood style, Telugu filmmakers have started promoting their movies in Television soaps, especially Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu stands top. It was recently, Nithin, Kalyanram and Sharwanand became the part of this show and promoted Chinnadana Neekosam, Patas, Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju respectively. Dhanush's Anegan as Anekudu in Telugu will release on 20th of February. While Anegan is releasing on 13th February, makers have postponed the Telugu release date, due to NTR's Temper that is hitting screens this Friday. KV Anand of Rangam fame has directed this romanctic thriller with Amyra Dastur as the female lead and Harris Jayaraj's music. Anekudu team have apparently started promotions even here.
