Keerthy Suresh bags Neram remake

Malayalam actress Keerthy Suresh is going to play the female lead opposite Sundeep Kishan in the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Neram. "The makers are considering one among Keerthy Suresh and Ashna Zaveri as the female lead. Keerthy is most likely to grab the opportunity, which was originally played by Nazriya Nazim," confides a source. Titled 123, the film is being directed by Anil Kanneganti of Mr Nookayya fame. Anil Sunkara is presenting the film and Sudhakar Cherukuri is producing it under Pixel Dreams India banner. The story of the film captures a series of events happen in the life of a young man originally played by Nivin Pauly.

Mahat has cameo in Telugu remake of 'Neram'

Actor Mahat Raghavendra will make a special appearance in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of "Neram" which features Sundeep Kishan in the lead. "Sundeep and I have been friends for many years. I'm really excited about teaming up with him," Mahat told. For Mahat, working in the project is like a reunion of sorts with friends. "Besides Sundeep, the film's producer Anil Sunkara and Bobby Simhaa, who plays the antagonist are also very close friends. It's not every day that you get to work with such people, so I'm quite thrilled," he said. The film is being directed by debutant Anil Kanneganti. It tracks a few hours in the life of its protagonist and emphasises the importance of time, both good and bad, in our lives. Mahat is currently shooting for Telugu film "She". He will start working on a Tamil project to be produced by veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja from March onwards.

Keerthy Suresh may star in Telugu remake of 'Neram'

Actor Sundeep Kishan will star in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Malayalam hit "Neram", which is likely to feature Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. "The makers have been in talks with Keerthy Suresh and Ashna Zaveri. Keerthy is most likely to get the role, which was originally played by Nazriya," a source from the film's unit told. In an official statement, the makers confirmed that the remake, which will be helmed by Anil Kanneganti, will officially go on floors on December 12. The film will be produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Pixel Dreams India and released by Anil Sunkara. "Neram", which captures events in the life of its protagonist in a day, featured Nivin Pauly in the lead.

Bobby Simhaa to debut in Telugu films with 'Neram' remake

National Award winning actor Bobby Simhaa will reprise his role in the Telugu remake of Tamil-Malayalam bilingual "Neram", making it his debut in the language. "Simhaa has been roped in to play the antagonist. He will be essaying his own role as the ruthless lone shark from the original," a source from the film's unit told. According to the source, the makers were in talks with a few other actors to play the villain, but nobody fit the bill like Simhaa, who currently has over half a dozen Tamil films in his kitty. To be directed by Anil Kanneganti, the film is tentatively titled "123" and features Sundeep Kishan and Anisha Ambrose in the lead. The film tracks few hours in the life of its protagonist and emphasizes on the importance of time, both good and bad, in our lives. The regular shooting of the film, which will be produced by Pixel Dreams, will start from later this month.

Neram Starts for Nivin Pauly doing Tamil Movie

As we had reported earlier Nivin Pauly will be reentering Kollywood with the Tamil remake of Kannada flick 'Ulidavaru Kandanthe'. This is the Tamil film of the 'Premam' star after a gap of three years since the release of 'Neram'. The film will be directed by Gautham Ramachandran a former associate of Mysskin. Shraddha of Kannada flick 'U Turn' fame has been roped in as the female lead in this film. Pandi Kumar is the cinematographer and Atul is the Editor of this flick. Ajneesh has been retained from the original for the musical score. Now we learn that the new addition to the cast is actor Natty aka Natraj who will be playing an important role in the film. The shooting of the film has begun today in Tuticorin. Nivin and Natty are taking part in the first schedule.
