Why Kabir Khan is good news?
'Kabul Express' director Kabir Khan is definitely good news for Bollywood. Why? Well, thankfully he breaks the monotony of cinema and brings in a refreshing change in spite of retaining good humour-n-drama. He is a documentary filmmaker but while watching 'Kabul Express' for most part you don't feel as if you are being given a lecture on the ravages of war. Instead, Arshad Warsi's comic timing makes it a fun ride. Arshad's bantering with Salman Shahid (the guy who plays a Taliban militant) is extremely funny and at times poignant. Like when Salman reminds the Pakistani promise: 'Madhuri de do Kashmir le lo.' Or when the duo fight as to who's a better all rounder'Imran Khan or Kapil Dev. The balance that Kabir strikes in humorous and poignant moments (For e.g. when Salman Shahid's character meets his daughter and doesn't say a word except handing over a few hundred dollars hits you like a bullet fired from short distance) has been brought forth exceptionally well. Moreover he doesn't compromise in terms of making a song-less film in spite of working with a production house like Yashraj Films famous for their musical acumen. His selection of cinematographer in Anshuman Mahaley was another master stroke. The visuals of the film are some of the most brilliant that one has seen in cinema this year. The closest that can come will be Tasadduq Hussain in 'Omkara' and Ravi K Chandran in 'Fanaa'. Kabir Khan seems to be clear that he can't present his point of view by being pedantic. The marriage of entertainment and sense makes for a deadly combo. His next step in Bollywood will be eagerly looked forward to'
Breaking News: 'Supari' for Emraan Hashmi
Bollywood is shaken as a 'supari' is out for the young star Emraan Hashmi! Well, don't be alarmed as we clarify the matter. It is not a kind of 'supari' which in 'mumbaiya' lingo stands for the money given for killing a person. Instead it is a 'supari' brand that Emraan Hashmi is endorsing currently. A special scented 'supari' which is coming on a leading brand; it has its latest promo on air that has Emraan driving a mobike with a helmet on a la DHOOM! Well, it has to be said that the promo isn't quite the kind that would make the elite get hooked on to the 'supari' and is mainly aimed at the class which comes in hordes to watch a Hashmi starrer on single screens.

STING OPERATION is one such tool to facilitate that! Vidya [Koel Purie] is one such journalist who gets involved in a operation masterminded by her. An operation that depends a lot on glamour, sensationalism and controversies.
Arshad-Anwar sibling newsbreak - A publicity stunt?
Is the news break around Arshad Warsi and yesteryear singer Anwar being siblings a publicity stunt? If one looks at the current state of affairs, it definitely seems so! That's because very recently, a private album by Anwar, titled 'Tohfa', has arrived on stands. While there may not have been much buzz if Anwar's album would have seen a soft launch, the theory making the rounds shows a different picture. With Arshad story being floated around the town, it certainly seems to be adding mileage to Anwar's recent album. For the starters, recently there was news around Anwar and Arshad being step brothers. Anwar's father Aashiq Hussain was a theatre personality. Arshad is Aashiq's son from his second marriage. In the past Anwar has sung tracks like 'Humse Ka Bhool Hui' from JANTA HAWALDAR and 'Mohabbat Ab Tijarat Ban Gayi Hai' from ARPAN.
