Yes. It is a fact that A R Rahman's music has now become a rage in China. The fact remains that Rahman hasn't composed music for any Chinese film. Yet, his music has been used by Taiwanese singer Kelly Poon in her latest album. It is a known fact that Rahman had composed music for the Arjun-Manisha Koirala starrer Mudalvan or Oke Okkadu in Telugu. Shakalaka baby song from this film was a huge hit in India when the film released. Now, the same song has the Chinese youngsters grooving to Rahman's music.
Shankar to direct Maheshbabu
Director Shankar is known across India as a great creator of cinema. His films 'Gentleman, Premikudu, Oke Okkadu, Jeans, Bharateeyudu, Boys, Aparichitudu and the latest film Sivaji' proved that it is a fact. It is well aware that Indian Super Star Rajanikanth played in and as 'Sivaji' under his direction and the film is shaking the Box Office and created a sensation. If Prince Maheshbabu acts in a film under his direction, we can expect wonders. There was a strong rumour in Film Nagar that a film is in the offing in this combination. He made his debut into the films with 'Roja' of Maniratnam and enthralled both Telugu and Tamil music lovers. His films like 'Bombay, Gentleman, Oke Okkadu, Jeans, Premikudu' and others remained classics. Then he entered the Bollywood and gave music for Taal, Rangeela, Rang De Basanti and others such sensational films. He bagged a number of national awards, State awards, Nandi awards and remained the best music director of India. This music maestro is celebrating his birthday on January 7. 'Sivaji' to hit screen on April 14
The shooting of 'Sivaji' directed by Shankar of 'Oke Okkadu, Bharatiyudu, Jeans, Aparichitudu'-fame and produced on the banner of AVM Productions with south Indian Super Star Rajanikanth and Shriya in the lead was completed recently. Nayanatara who played opposite Rajanikanth in 'Chandramukhi' is shaking his legs with him again in this film for a song. The film had done No. 1 business in India is all slated for release on April 14 to mark the Tamil New Year's Day. The film is being dubbed into Telugu by Mega Super Good Films.
Sivaji completes 70 per cent shoot
'Sivaji' starring the south Indian Super Star Rajinikanth, Shreya had completed 70 per cent of the film shoot. Sensational director Shankar, who brought out excellent films like 'Gentleman, Oke Okkadu, Bharateeyudu and Aparichitudu' is directing the film and the film is being produced on the banner of prestigious AVM banner. This heavy budget film is most likely to hit the screen on the Tamil New Year's Day that is slated after five months. Another speciality of the film is that it has an excellent musical support from A R Rehman.
