Shivaji is looking for a strong comeback. The bankable actor has not had a good run in recent times. So he is hoping that his new movies will run well. Providing hope is a new production house that is making its debut in Tollywood. Kalpatharu Movie Makers, the new production house, has launched a new movie Sivaji as the hero. An essential NRI team, the production house is headed by Megan and Ramaseshu. Vandematram Srinivas is scoring the music. The film's other details are still awaited.
One more to the dubbed list
We have almost gone tired chronicling the dubbed ventures from Tamil to Telugu. Last season was full of that. This season seems hardly any different. Yet another film of Tamil actor Surya is set for dubbing here. Surya's home production Jillunu Oru Kaadhal is being dubbed in Telugu as Nuvvu Nenu Prema. It will release in July 2006. The attractions in the film do not stop with Surya. It has Jyothika and Bhoomika Chawla as heroines. Mega Super Good Films have bought the rights. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music.
One Poonam too many
There are two Poonams already in the circuit. So when Miss Andhra Poonam Kaur arrived on the scene there was plenty much confusion. Poonam is the heroine of two films now --- Oka V Chitram and Mayajalam. It was proving to be mediamen's nightmare. But Poonam has decided to take the easy way out and help the scribes. She has decided to go for a screen name change. Poonam has chosen to be called Deepa. Let there be light in Deepa's career.
One from Telugu to Tamil
The recent trend has been either to dub or remake Tamil films. For a change a Telugu film maybe now remade in Tamil. Director Neelakanta made the critically acclaimed Missamma a couple of years ago. The movie was a success on all fronts. Now the news is that the film maybe remade by the same director some time later. A popular Tamil actor-director is tipped to play the lead. Neelakanta is currently making 'Nandanavanam' 120kms. The film will be released in May
One last gamble
Desperation can drive people to any lengths. And it sure has Ankitha. The one-time Rasna cutie is now an actress in her own right. After a slew of good films in both Tamil and Telugu, the actress is now on square one. There is not much happening in her career now. Seetharamudu is the only hope now. And so desperate is she for success that Ankitha is now ready going all guns blazing on the glamour quotient. Reports have it that she will be oozing glamour and will be her leggy self in the movie. Sivaji plays the hero. The movie is almost complete and all ready for release.
One more from dubbing mill
The season of dubbed movies don't seem to end. Too many movies from Telugu have been dubbed from Tamil in the last one year or so. The biggest hit among them has been Rajinikanth starrer Chandramukhi, directed by P Vasu. Now P vasu is busy with a project of Balakrishna's. Meanwhile, the news is that P Vasu's another Tamil movie Paramasivan is being dubbed as Paramasivam. With Ajith, Laila, Jeyram and Prakash Raj in main roles, the film has musical score from Vidyasagar. The movie had been classified a nominal hit in Tamil.
