Shivarajkumar's new film Vajrakaya will be limited to only 200 screens says director Harsha. This is a deliberate strategy aimed at not flooding the theatres. Distributor Jayanna has picked up the distribution job and Vajrakaya will replace Puneeth's Ranavikrama in most screens including main theatre Santhosh.
Only Spielberg can make Akshay Kumar change his decision
Akshay Kumar, who has over hundred films to his credit, has decided to be extremely selective about the films he decides to star in. He has vowed to do only 3 films a year! Akshay has made this decision after his successful whirlwind 'Heat' world tour. The bankable star at the Box Office has been giving consecutive hits right from 'Khakhee', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'Waqt', 'Garam Masala' and is in the best phase of his career. Even his Humko Deewana Kar Gaye has done exceeding well in the overseas market and has been in the Top 15 in the U.K Charts. Says Akshay, "I have been thinking about it for quite some time and have decided to work in only 3 films a year. I know I would be offending some of the producers, but then I have to take the decision someday." He adds "Right Now I'm completing all my prior commitments and then I shall be free. Though I have made some bad career choices, I have managed a high success ratio. Right now my fans' expectation of me has increased & I can't disappoint them." Akshay's films slated for release this year are 'Phir Hera Pheri' along with the much awaited 'Jaaneman', Rituparno Ghosh's 'Rahgeer' & Vipul Shah's 'London Dreams'. "I am on a position where I can be picky and I will stick to my decision of doing only 3 films unless Steven Spielberg wants to sign me." he smilingly signs off.
'Only Balaiah could be 'Okka Mogadu''
YVS Choudhary insists there wouldn't have been 'Okka Magadu', if the project wouldn't have enticed Balakrishna. He says the inspiration for the story came during the shooting of Seetaiah, which has a song that starts off as Okka magadu' Ever since, he had worked on the script and when he took the story to Balakrishna, he is said to have liked it instantly. Big films happen when the stars like what the directors take to them, says Choudhary and adds that the timing should be perfect though. The trick is to give them what they expect at the right time, he adds. However, had Balakrishna refused doing the film, he says the script would have gone into cold storage as he could not visualize anyone but him in the role.

Even the sitting MLA from Saidapet and a prominent actor Radha Ravi's name does not figure in the list.
