Suman's career has been only middling in Telugu. But a villain role in Rajinikanth starrer Sivaji has certainly made him feel elated. Directed by the whiz Shankar, Sivaji has opened new vistas in Suman's career, which was otherwise wallowing in mediocrity and B Grade films. Naturally he speaks in happy adjectives about the film and its director. 'While I was in Chennai one day, out of the blue, I received a call from Shankar asking me whether I can come over to his office,' he recalls about how the movie happened. 'Only upon going there I realized that it was for playing the villain in the film'. Among others, Amitabh, Mohanlal, Sanjay Dutt were talked for that role. A small screen test and a few dialogues later, Suman was quickly signed up. 'I immediately called up Rajini and he wished me well,' Suman recalls with happiness. Rajini and Suman had acted together in the Tamil remake of Deewar. Rajini played Amitabh's role while Suman did that of Shashi Kapoor's. Suman says that the villain role in Sivaji is not one-dimensional. 'It is a multi-faceted character. I am enjoying it,' he says. Suman thinks a new chapter in his career has begun.
Stalin all over the place
Chennai, Pondicherry, Itlay, Austria and Hyderabad. Well, these are not random points on the map. These are the places where Stalin has been shot so far. The revolutionary movie with Chiranjeevi in the lead has another location to the lengthy roster of places the film has been shot in so far. Canada is the newest destination where Stalin's team is headed for. Director Murugadoss says it is for a song that they are going to Canada. Trisha plays the female lead.
Nayantra is over the moon
Nayantra was Rajini's heroine in Chandramukhi. The film is a record-breaker and everybody is talking about the duo. Now Nayantra has been specially chosen for a song in Rajini's ongoing film Sivaji. Nayantra is over the moon with this offer. 'It is not everyday that an actress gets to play in back-to-back Rajini films. But I am lucky,' she says with obvious pride. That is not all, normally Rajini has a solo introduction song. But in Sivaji it is different. He has Nayantra for company. Nayantra is naturally thrilled with this rare honor.

Deepika has never gone over the top: Bhansali
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali says his "Bajirao Mastani" actress Deepika Padukone has never exaggerated a role in movies. The historical romance film sees Deepika as the warrior queen Mastani. "Mastani is someone what Madhubala and Meena Kumari did in their heydays. Deepika has never ever gone over the top. No woman has ever looked so beautiful on the Indian screen in the longest time. It's a dear character to me," Bhanslai told. "...deep down my favourite character is Mastani. I would take Deepika's performance till the last breath of my life. It's that dear to me," he added. Also starring Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra, "Bajirao Mastani" has kept cash register ringing. Asked whether he is happy with the box office report of the film, which released on December 18, Bhansali said: "I just wanted to make a beautiful film, be honest and truthful towards something which I have lived for 12 years." "It was my tribute to Mughal-e-Azam and that was all I was thinking of while making this film. I was not thinking of the box office collection...I am offering something that is different."
"I would have preferred PIRATES over THE TRAIN" - Raksha Mistry
Known for not mincing any words and speaking her heart and mind out, Raksha Mistry, co-director of THE TRAIN has a shocking, yet hilarious statement to make. She says that if THE TRAIN would have released on the same day as PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN - AT WORLD'S END, she would have preferred to stand in queue for the latter. Laughs Raksha, "Seriously, don't think that I am kidding! Such has been the craze of PIRATES series for me that I can't miss it for anything in the world, even if it means putting my own film at the second position!" But why? "It's simple. Johny Depp is a darling and it is impossible to swap him for anything else. At the end of the day, I am more curious to see what he has to offer in the latest edition of PIRATES than watching THE TRAIN, which I must have anyways watched a zillion times by now", she chuckles! While PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN - AT WORLD'S END releases tomorrow, THE TRAIN comes a week later at the theaters.
