'Paayum Puli' release stalled
The Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association on Thursday red-carded actor Vishal Krishna Reddy-starrer Tamil actioner "Paayum Puli" thereby stalling its release in cinemas which was scheduled for September 4. The release of "Paayum Puli" is being stalled because its producers Vendhar Movies, who distributed Rajinikanth-starrer "Lingaa", are yet to settle the losses incurred by that film, a theatre owners association member said. "Only half of the promised settlement has reached the distributors of 'Lingaa'. Rajinikanth and the film's producer Rockline Venkatesh managed to settle the loss, but distributors from North and South Arcot, Chengalpet and Trichy are yet to receive the compensation," the member from the theatre owners association told. To help Vendhar Movies in this regard, the Tamil Film Producers Council has taken the matter into its hands. "If the exhibitors association doesn't withdraw the red card immediately, the matter will be brought to the notice of Tamil Nadu state government to resolve the issue in a democratic way," read a statement from TFPC. "Paayum Puli", which is directed by Suseenthiran, also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Harish Uthaman and Aishwarya Dutta in important roles.

Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta shooting to resume
We are told that Gautham Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta (ENPT) will apparently have so much action in it, more than what you generally find in his film. Especially the 2nd half will allegedly be full-on action-centric. Since GVM was busy with the final works of AYM and Dhanush was held up with Power Pandi, the ENPT team was on a break, but they are now likely to resume shoot from the 3rd of October. This schedule will reportedly go on for 20 days and with that, 80% of the film will be completed.
Lucky to have worked in 'Paayum Puli': Aishwarya Dutta
Actress Aishwarya Dutta considers herself extremely lucky to have worked with stars such as Vishal Krishna Reddy and Kajal Aggarwal in upcoming Tamil actioner "Paayum Puli" so early in her career. "Working alongside Vishal and Kajal in the beginning of my career is a big boost. I consider myself so lucky for this opportunity," Aishwarya, who plays Kajal's sister in the film, told. Directed by Suseenthiran, the film is loosely based on the real life encounter of Sub-Inspector Alvin Sudhan. "I thoroughly enjoyed working in this project. It helped me to groom myself. I got to learn a lot from Kajal. She's a wonderful co-actor. Thanks to Soori, we had so much fun on the sets," she said. Talking about the experience of working with Suseenthiran, she said: "He's a multi-talented director and working with him was so enriching. He makes very realistic films that are equally commercial. I loved his work in 'Pandiya Nadu' and 'Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu'". Although Aishwarya plays a brief role in the film, she says her character is very important from the story's perspective. Aishwarya also has Tamil drama "Sattam" in her kitty. "This project will be directed by a newcomer. It also features Samuthirakani sir in a significant role. The rest of the cast will be finalised soon," she added.
