Sooraj Pancholi bursts into tears at 'Hero' trailer launch
The trailer of the much-anticipated "Hero", starring debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, was launched here on Wednesday but attending a high-profile press conference for the first time got to its male lead, who couldn't hold back his tears on stage. Sooraj made his way on the stage after producer Salman Khan, filmmaker Subhash Ghai, and director Nikhil Advani were introduced. As soon as he up e with Athiya, he gave his mentor Salman a tight hug. This was the trigger moment as the moment got him completely emotional and he started crying profusely. About the emotional moment, Sooraj said: "This (film) is a dream launch. I don't think I could've gotten better than this. I see a lot of people here who want to be actors. People who are much more talented than me, much more good-looking than me and have a better body than me. But they don't make it (become actors) here and I have made it here. It's a big thing for me." Asked why he chose to be an actor, he replied: "I think I can live a lot of lives through this. If actors do well, they have a very good life and because both my parents (Aditya Pancholi, Zarina Wahab) are actors. When I assisted on the sets, I knew that I could do it as I didn't study a lot. I feel it's (acting) in my blood. I've been watching Hindi films since I was a child .And my mother wanted me to become an actor when I turned 20-21." "Hero", directed by Advani under the banner of Salman Khan Film, is releasing on September 11.
Sooraj Pancholi, Athiya Shetty have opposite views on dieting
"Hero" film debutantes Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty have been appreciated for their physiques but both have diverse views on the concept of dieting. Interacting with the media at a fitness centre, Athiya said: "I do lot of weight training, I eat everything as well. I don't believe in starving or dieting. So that's basically how I got fit." But Sooraj had opposite views. "The most important thing for fitness is your diet. If your diet is right, you don't have to work that hard on your body. I've seen people working extremely hard and doing as much as me or even more but still not looking in shape at all," he said. Athiya said that her trainer made her eat eight meals in a day and made her do minimum cardio as she had to do some heavy intense dance sequences. Sooraj also stressed on the importance of fitness trainers as they know your body extremely well. About father Suniel Shetty, Athiya said: "I have a very fit father at home, who is obsessed with working out so I work out with him six times a week." Sooraj also claimed that he wanted to look like "Rambo" Sylvester Stallone and that he was highly inspired by the documentary "Pumping Iron" on Arnold Schwarzenegger. "It sounds easy but it's not. You have to sacrifice on a lot of things, you have to sacrifice on your food, on your time and on going out at night if you want to look fit and be fit," he said. Sooraj's physique - right from his bare back - in the first look to the action sequences in the trailer has been appreciated, while Athiya's appearance at certain fashion events and her fashion sense and her svelte and tall figure have been appreciated.
Sooraj Pancholi gets ready for action
After his acting debut Hero, which released in September last year, Sooraj Pancholi is set to begin work on his next, Remo D'Souza's yet-to-be-titled next featuring Ajay Devgn who is also co-producing the film. Sooraj will fly to Germany in the coming week to undergo a two-week training session while Devgan who is busy with his directorial, Shivaay, at the moment will do his part of the prep later.
Strategy keeping Sooraj Pancholi away from media: Nikhil Advani
Nikhil Advani, director of Sooraj Pancholi starrer "Hero", says that the reason why the actor staying away from media is because of promotional strategy. The trailer launch of the remake of Subhash Ghai's superhit "Hero" also starring Athiya Shetty, was held a few days back. But many are surprised that Sooraj hasn't interacted with the media since then. Advani has clarified that his absence is due to the promotional strategy planned by the makers. "There is no specific reason for his absence. There is always a strategy in place and due to this strategy they (Sooraj, Athiya) haven't come much. When the music is launched they'll come in front of the media," said Advani on the sidelines of the screening of a Marathi film, "Mantalya Ulhat". Directed by Advani under the banner of Salman Khan Film, "Hero" is releasing on September 11. It also stars Tigmanshu Dhulia and Sooraj's father Aditya Pancholi.
