Anuj sawhney Rushed for Medical care

The advent of the new "Corporatized" Bollywood seems to be taking its fair share not only financially but also physically on film actors in recent times. The latest to have jumped onto the bandwagon of super busy actors is none other than Anuj Sawhney who has always been appreciated for his body of work in films such as Tom Dick Harry, Chingaari, Naina and Nayee Padosan. Grapevine has it that Anuj has been doing double and even triple-shifts to accommodate the growing list of films in his repertoire, but not without serious damage to his health. He was recently rushed to the same hospital twice in a span of one week after working non-stop for over 72 hours due to extreme physical exhaustion. The physician has recommended Anuj to take preventive measures and to even go on a long vacation to recuperate completely, but the actor has his hands way to full to accommodate the request. At present Anuj has over 10 films in his impressive and growing portfolio. He is currently part of Abbas-Mastaan's comic-thriller with Ashtivanayak, a mega 3 film contract with Zee Motion pictures being closely kept under wraps, K Sera Sera's socio-political next with Devang Dholakia, Basant Talreja's comic-satire with Farooq Sheikh & Rajpal Yadav titled 'Ho Gaya Final', Balabhai Patel's rib-tickler with B.H. Tharun Kumar (of Nayee Padosan fame) interestingly titled 'Ye Fasaa', Jayant Gilatars romantic-comedy with Om Puri & Manoj Joshi titled 'Gupchup Gupchup', a socio-drama with Naseeruddin Shah titled 'Yun Zindagi Mili' and finally a remake of the Hollywood crime-thriller 'Departed'. With such a massive work load where the actor doesn't have dates to spare till next year, it seems highly unlikely that Anuj would be able to have enough rest but we wish this talented and super busy actor gets all the luck to get hail & hearty soon!

My Patience gave me the best

Once you are labeled as a B grade actor doing Secondary B-Town flicks, then it becomes very difficult to be considered by the top brass of Bollywood especially if you are keen to be known as a good male lead. Aslam Khan had been waiting for sometime to get the kind of roles that he was on the look out for. His determination on not to do a B-Grade film whatever struggles he has to face stood with him in the most difficult of times. But finally Aslam Khan is turning out to be a slow winner. He has signed the dotted lines for a film by 'One more thought production house' and one future project with Pyramid Saimira. But,that's not all that Aslam has got for his future stock. Raja of 'Nayee Padosan' Aslam is also in a pleasant mood and very enthusiastic about his first two films in 2008 His wait to do some clean comedy stuff with good set ups paid off when he landed up the main roles in 'Rafoochakkar- Fun on the Run' with Nauheed Cyrusi and Nisha Rawal and 'Jack N Jhol' in which he plays the role of the rich playboy Jai Kishan aka Jack. Nisha Rawal, Shruthi Seth, Gaurav Gera and Tara Sharma are the other actors in the film. Both these films are directed by BH Tharun Kumar. Aslam, Hats off to your perseverance.

Anuj Sawhney -getting his steps right

Now as Anuj Sawhney has made his presence felt in Bollywood with noted films like 'Naye Padosan' 'Funtoosh', 'Naina', 'Chingaari', 'Tom Dick and Harry' and Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi , the time has come for him to spread more reviews about the virtue of his potential. Success at the top level is not far away for this hunk having everything from great looks, good physique, and proven ability to carry off good roles. The only thing evading the actor for sometime has been the regularity in getting good offers flowing in his direction. But times do change for the better. Anuj has grabbed a three film contract with Zee films recently. This star in the making will also be seen in '3 Nights 4 Days' with Hristaa Bhatt, 'Ye Fassa' with Tara Sharma. He will be also seen in Abbas Mastan's 'Mr.Fraud' and 'Departed'. Anuj is also fully geared up with a toned down body and new looks for his forthcoming films which he considers as his new innings in B-Town. So Anuj, get set and go.

DICK has a release after a year

After almost a year, Anuj Sawhney i.e. 'DICK' of TOM, DICK & HARRY would be having a film of his releasing at theaters. Though the promotion of the film is being centered on the characters of Dino Morea followed by Aftab Shivdasani and to an extent Sameer Dattani, not many are aware that the film also stars Anuj Sawhney as one of the 4 male protagonists. In TOM, DICK & HARRY, Anuj was the surprise package as a blind young man called 'Dick'. He has also been appreciated for his act in each of his films beginning from NAYEE PADOSAN, FUN2SSH, NAINA to CHINGAARI. By end of year, he would also be seen in his biggest project till date, Mr. FRAUD, where he would be directed by none other than director duo Abbas Mustan.

Vikaas has already completed the shotoing scedule with Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna in a shooting schedule held in Dubai recently. The film is being produced by Tips and is likely to be released by May 2007. 'I play a character called Siddharth in this thriller film, and am paired opposite model Urvashi Sharma. I portray a happy go lucky guy, the most effervescent among a group of four, comprising Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Urvashi Sharma and me,' says Kalantri. Vikas Kalantari is the face of 'Belmonte'

With not much happening on the Bollywood front, young Vikas Kalantri is now trying his luck with modeling. He is currently endorsing BELMONTE range of formal dress material and has modeled for the current publicity campaign. His last release was 'Kathputli' which sunk without a trace. Prior to this he has appeared in number of flicks with only two of them [Nayee Padosan, Tauba Tauba] making some moolah for its makers. Apart from that, each of his films like 'Pyaar Zindagi Hai', 'Dukaan', 'Dil Bechara Pyaar Ka Maara' and 'Jigyaasa' have failed at the box office. He would soon be seeing a re-launch of sorts when K.C. Bokadia kickstarts 'Teri Meherbanian' where he is paired opposite Tanvi Verma. It was Bokadia who had launched him earlier with 'Pyaar Zindagi Hai' where he was seen with Ashima Bhalla.
