Bobby Simha replaces Jeevan in 'Thiruttu Payale 2'

A few months back IndiaGlitz had reported that director Susi Ganesan and AGS Entertainment banner will be teaming up again for the sequel of their 2006 critically acclaimed super hit 'Thiruttu Payale'. Now the official announcement about the sequel and its lead star cast has come from the makers. While Jeevan played the lead role in the 2006 film, National award winning actor Bobby Simha will be playing the lead role in the sequel which has been titled as 'Thiruttu Payale2. Prasanna has been roped into play the lead negative character (like the one played by Abbas in 'Thiruttu Payale'). It is worth noting that Susi and Prasanna made their Kollywood debut with the film 'Five Star' that released in 2002. They are now teaming up after a long gap of 14 years The sequel will be directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by Kalpathi S.Aghoram, S.Ganesh and S.Suresh of AGS Entertainments banner. While 'Thiruttu Payale' was predominantly shot in Australia, the sequel will be shot in a foreign island. The team is on the look out for the suitable heroine for the strong and bold female lead character. The director says this will be a thematic sequel. "As in 'Thiruttu Payale' all the characters in this film will have a shade of stealthiness. The number of these Thiruttu Payalgal in these ten years has kept increasing. The normal wrongdoers have now become equipped with technology and petty crimes have become technological crimes. More than my creativity, this social truth has been the momentum for working on the second part." says Susi Ganesan. The makers are searching suitable candidates for the remaining cast and technical crew members. The film is expected to go on floors in September.
