SYNOPSIS - UGLY AUR PAGLI

We have all heard of soft romantic comic love stories. Now get set for a love story with a punch, a thud and some serious arm twisting thrown in with zero bedside manners. Ugly aur Pagli. It is the story of Kabir, a carefree guy who has been studying engineering for the last 10 years now, whose life goes for a sixer when he meets the quirky and kinky Kuhu. Kabir always wanted a girl to love but he never in his wildest dreams thought he would encounter a girl who could make him dance around circles, run semi naked, ride cycles without seats, wear high heeled ladies shoes... Oh trust us it gets worse. Get set for one of the quirkiest love stories of the year!

UGLY AUR PAGLI is funny as hell - Pritish Nandy

Love has many takes. You watched our Pyaar Ke Side Effects. You watched Just Married. You watched Chameli, Shabd, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. All of them explored relationships, gave a new spin to what love is all about. But Ugly aur Pagli takes the bakery. It's funny as hell. It has its beautiful moments too. Mallika Sherawat, fresh from her success as the unforgettable Trisha in last year's biggest, most amazing romcom hit, comes back in her new avatar as Kuhu, the Pagli of Ugly aur Pagli. Impossible, incorrigible, irresistible. Ranvir Shorey as Kabir, urf the Ugly of Ugly aur Pagli, is cast in the role of a lifetime. He's the nerd: goofy, charming, desperately trying to escape Pagli's clutches and, in the process, falling even more miserably in love with her. Haven't we all experienced this sometime or the other in our tragic love lives? This film also debuts Sachin Khot as the director to watch out for. He has returned from a decade long vanavas in Indonesia, where he was making television serials for local channels. We welcome him back to India and the big screen, and to PNC where the finest motion picture talent is incubated and encouraged to realise its true potential. And, O yes, don't forget we have Shaadi Ke Side Effects coming soon too.
